Bella's POV

What I saw shocked me. His eyes did not have any hatred. He was staring at me with love, care, concern, pity, determination and pride.

I did not understand. "I am sorry that you had to go through all this. I wish I was there to protect you, gosh I am such a terrible mate." he said as he started to blame himself.

"NO! You are not. It's not your fault. Please do not blame yourself please." I tried to tell him. "How is it not? I was not there when you were hurting." he said back.

"But you are here now. That is what matters." I said trying to stop him from blaming himself. He just let out a sigh.

To make him feel better, I hugged him and rubbed his back and said it's not his fault.

He hugged me back tightly and hid his face and sniffed me to calm himself down. I slowly rubbed his hair to comfort him. I was feeling happy all of a sudden. Not sad anymore knowing he was there for me.
