I slammed my door after me and I slowly exhaled to get rid of the anger I was trying so hard to control.

Elena was deliberately pushing me. She was trying to test how long my calmness could last before I would snap and I was glad I didn't satisfy her.

I left for my closet and began to pick outfits I would need for the trip but Elena's words remained in my head. Her words about Damien.

Could he truly be having feelings for me? Or was she just trying to get into my head to make me have doubts about Damien?

But then… there was no way I could defend his sudden touchiness as of recent. Why did he kiss me on the cheek? Why did he suddenly plan a trip after knowing me for a year?

Realizing I'd trailed off instead of picking outfits, I shook those misleading thoughts off and focused on what was important.

Soon, I was done and I left for the kitchen to make myself dinner but Elena beat me at it and I was surprised. She hated kitchen chores.
