I peered out of the taxi window as the city lights blurred past while I felt bummed. It had been four weeks since I had seen Caleb after he had left for the team again after his Christmas break. Four agonizingly long weeks where I had had to miss him. And now when I had finally had the chance to see him again, my flight had been delayed. Snatching away another couple of hours that I would have to be able to share with him. And now, by arriving much too late, I was forced to take a taxi from the airport to the arena where Caleb was already for the game. Not that he would be playing, but the team still required his attendance. Fans still wanted to see him, that much I could understand.
