Chapter 9: Liam is injured

Sylvia paced nervously around the room, until there was a knock on the door.

“Sylvia, are you awake?”

From the voice, Sylvia guessed it was Ryan.

"I'm still awake."

"Open the door for me, I need your help with something."

"Okay."

“Liam is injured.”

“Is Liam injured?” The two are almost in unison.

Ryan nodded.

“The boss was shot by someone, I think… in the future you will be a little more relaxed but don't go around the mansion.”

“Did you come here just to say that? Is Liam seriously injured?" Sylvia began to understand Ryan better.

"It's okay, the doctor is treating the wound and taking out the bullet. Are you still worried about Sir Liam even though he kidnapped and tortured you?”

Sylvia's face turned a little red, she shouldn't be worried about that bastard.

"Why should I worry about him?"

"That's right, you'd better stay away from my boss." Ryan interjected.

“You should have told Liam to let me go!” Sylvia said angrily.

Ryan looked at the thick kiss marks on Sylvia's neck and quickly shook his head.

“I think the chance of the boss letting you out is zero. I'll go and see how the boss is doing. Remember to stay in your room.”

Sylvia clenched her fists and nodded. She is also not tired of living.

"Does it hurt?" Doctor Daniel smiled at Liam's grimace. It was common for Liam to get shot or injured and needed to find a doctor like him.

“No, you just keep doing it!” Liam casually looked at the white cotton balls that were soaked with fresh blood from the open wound.

"You're really tough, aren't you afraid of death?"

“I can't die so easily! Hurry to work, you are too talkative!" Liam interrupted angrily.

The sharp point of the knife penetrated deeply into each bright red flesh, the small scissors skillfully inserted it, touched the copper bullet, and took it out. Blood is still flowing continuously into the vein to keep the patient from losing too much blood and becoming exhausted.

Keng…

The light of metal flashed after the shrill sound. Doctor Daniel breathed a sigh of relief. Quickly take out the self-destructing needle and thread from the box to suture the wound, sweat has drenched both temples.

"I think next time you should go to the hospital and deal with it!"

"You don't need the money anymore, Daniel?" Liam smirked.

"Who doesn't need money? But your wound is not small, the blood loss is too much, I recklessly picked up the bullet for you and shook my hand, my medical ethics may be destroyed in your hand!" Daniel threw his blood-stained gloves in the trash, wiped the sweat from his forehead with a tissue, and frowned.

“Can medical ethics eat? Anyway, I only trust him alone. Next time I will be more careful.” Liam closed his eyes and leaned back in his chair, his angular face pale from excessive blood loss.

Daniel knows Liam's personality well, he's just talking for fun! This is not the first time such promises have been made. But Daniel's attitude was that he didn't want to talk anymore, so Daniel quickly packed his things and left.

At this time, at Zimmer's house, Sharon was crying and screaming when she heard that Gary - her beloved uncle - had shot in Liam's left arm.

“Uncle, why did you shoot Liam? Did you know Liam is someone I love and want to marry?”

Martin also looked angrily at his brother, frowning.

“You are crazy, what if there is a murder? We can't offend the Vineyard heir either, Olive Vineyard isn't simple!"

Gary didn't worry, he pulled out a cigar and slowly lit it.

"Don't you know I've been hating it for a long time?"

"For what? Don't tell me it's about Sharon, you never cared about it before!"

Gary took a puff of his cigarette.

“It is my personal matter. But I am certain that the shot aimed at Liam's left hand was correct, you wait and see, you will get good news soon. Ha ha ha.”

“Good news, do you think I still trust you?”

Gary doesn't seem happy.

"So what else do you want, Liam's goods are all brought to you, we will have a lot of money."

Sharon had tears in her eyes, and held Martin's hand.

“Father, aren't we very rich? Why do you need to take Liam's stuff?" Sharon is always worried that Liam won't like her, so getting married to Gary seems hopeless.

Martin looked at his daughter's heartbroken look and had a huge headache.

“Let me figure out how to handle this! Do not worry."

At this moment, the phone rang loudly.

"Who called that?" Martin angrily asked his assistant.

"Sir, it was Mr. Olive Vineyard calling."

Martin turned to look at his brother, meaning: trouble has come to the door.

"Give me!"

“Hello sir, Vineyard!”

“Hello, Martin! I called here because of my son Liam.”

Martin's heart seems to stop beating, is this coming to sue the Zimmers for murdering Liam? Uncollected money has lost more money to the court.

“Yes, I know it's my brother's fault for being so impatient and hasty! We will bear all the money for Liam's treatment."

“No, I didn't call because of Liam's injury, it was taken care of! I want to ask another question.”

Martin was astounded, the old fox - what Olive was up to.

"Yes, please just say it."

“First, about the gunpowder that Gary is holding, I want to get it back intact. Monday…"

Before Martin had time to answer, Olive spoke on the other side.

“I want Liam to marry Sharon, how do you feel?”

Martin turned to look at his daughter, as if Sharon had also heard, she couldn't help but be surprised and delighted.

“Father, quickly agree with him!”

Martin did not understand why the Vineyards suddenly changed their attitude, so he was extremely worried.

“Olive, are you telling the truth? Last time, Liam didn't agree to marry Sharon, this time, how can it be so easy?"

Olive Vineyard laughed on the other side of the phone.

“Ha ha, does Liam dare disobey his father? I asked Liam's opinion last night, he agreed! As soon as his wounds heal, we will meet to talk about Sharon and Liam's marriage soon."

"Okay, I will ask Gary to complete the formalities so that your side can receive your goods soon."

"Thank you, Martin."

After hanging up, Martin turned to look at Gary.

“You worry about returning the goods to the Vineyards! Did you hear what he said?"

Gary's eyes showed disapproval.

“Why did you agree to just a few empty promises from Olive?”

“Uncle, don’t meddle in this anymore! I want to marry Liam.”

“Really, it's impossible to understand you and Sharon anymore! Liam is an asshole, what's the point of wanting to stick to him!"

Gary picked up the gun and put it in his pocket, annoyed and went out.
