Amora's Point Of View

"Mom!" I kept yelling repeatedly.

"Hey!" Someone kept shaking me till I was fully conscious of my surroundings and who was holding me.

"Hey! It's me, you are safe! You are safe! He can't get you here, they can't," she said as she pulled me up from the bed and pulled me into a hug. Holding me tightly to her chest.

"It's fine, baby girl! You have me and I am here for you like always," she said consoling me. "You can cry all you want but I am here," she added. As I continued sobbing into her shoulder.

"He smirked harder than before," I said to her amidst my tears.

"Her face was fully black from the burnt," I added.

"He couldn't lift a finger after what was done to him," I continued ranting and sobbing.

"Why can't I get over it? It was more vivid like it happened two days ago," I said to her.

"It's okay, it is fine. This is the norm, you will only be shaken but you will be fine, like always, you know?" She said, patting me on the back.

"They don't look fine," I said to her, remembering the scene like it just happened.

"You know they are, they are fine. Resting in perfect peace and looking down proudly at you, at how far you have come. They are guarding you from their abode," she whispered into my ear.

"Are you sure?" I asked.

"Ok course, I am! I am very sure, don't mind what you saw but they are fine," she reassured me.

"You don't have to explain what you saw but it is fine and it is far off. You are safe," she said immediately as she released me from the hug and made me look at her.

"He was smirking harder than before and smiling like what he did was something to be proud of. He looked so happy while I felt my heart tearing and shattering at the loss I caused myself at the expenses of my happiness. Am I happy now? No, I am not and will never be," I sobbed the more as the pictures came running through my mind.

"Come on, don't say that! Don't blame yourself, she told you not to," she said to me, cupping my tears filled face in her hands.

"I will be guilty for life," I admitted.

"Please, get a hold of yourself, have you forgotten?" She asked me.

"I wish I could, but I can't. It won't let me forget," I informed her.

"He isn't worth all these tears so please stop crying and try to put this all behind, you have to get a hold of yourself and please forget that shit. I know it's hard but you have to do it, for your own good, please," she pleaded with me.

"Must you always cuss in all situations? Must you?" I asked her, I was beginning to calm down, I was shaken to my core.

"Yes, I have to. Where is the humor?" She asked with a shrug.

"But realistically speaking you need to shut him whenever he comes trying to disorient you." She added.

"I will try my best," I answered her.

"Now, try going back to bed. You need it, you are going to have a long day tomorrow from your gigs." She said as she coerced me into sleep.

Deven's Point Of View

I tossed on the bed, back and forth, sweating profusely. After so much tossing, I sat up immediately panting heavily. I had been running, running fast and far to keep myself safe.

I flew out of the bed into the bathroom, turned on the shower as I let the water wash down my fears, my anger, my sorrow, my suffering away. My head was banging terribly, it ached badly as a cold sensation ran through my hot body.

I was on fire and the water wasn't working its trick in calming me down like before instead it was doing the opposite. I switched the shower off and walked back to my closet, grabbed a short and a long satin coat.

I went into the kitchen and took some nerve calming pill to calm myself down but it felt stuck in my throat even though it wasn't.

"Are you okay, sir?" Miss Donna asked me.

"Yeah! I am," I answered her, she startled from my hoarse voice.

I walked out of the kitchen still sweating and went into the living area to get a drink when Jordan and two others came running to me.

"Sir, we caught them. They are locked in," he informed me.

"Good," I said to him, dismissing him.

My inside turned in excitement for some miserable creatures in my trap. I went back inside my room and changed into something more appropriate then proceeded to the judgment quarter.

They were chained and placed into big bowls of extreme cold water but I wasn't satisfied as I imagined his face on them.

"Add more ice to the bowl," I ordered as the stupid werewolves mumbled in protest.

"For how long have they been in there?" I asked Jordan.

"An hour plus," he said.

"Why didn't you inform me on time?" I yelled at him.

"You were sleeping, we can't disturb you," he replied.

"Damn it!" I yelled, I turned to look at them as two of my guys were adding the ice and I noticed they were still in their clothes.

"Why are they still in their clothes?" I yelled as I threw a hammer in no direction. "Why?" Lunging at Jordan.

"Because there is a lady among them," he said fearfully.

I looked at the creatures then back to Jordan, "and so? Do you want to take her place?" I asked him hoarsely.

"No!" He cried out immediately.

"Then do a good job and strip them naked into that bath," I ordered.

There was a lot of mumbling and protesting or begging, I don't know. I don't care. My phone rang and I just had to pick because of the caller.

"Are you okay?" He asked immediately as I picked up his call.

"What?" My voice was still hoarse.

"I ought to be there but I had an emergency, should I still come?" He asked.

"No!" I answered immediately.

"I know it's been two days and it's worse but it's fine," he said.

"I don't think so!"

"Then I need to come," he said again.

"Don't! I'm going out for a drink!"

  • The hybrids alpha pact   A spy among us

Amora and the group ventured further into the woods, noticing an unusual calmness that had fallen over the usually noisy forest. The atmosphere was dense, filled with stress and an unknown, ominous presence that eluded identification by all involved. Each movement seemed to lead them away from security and towards the hidden threat waiting nearby. Amora walked in front, her senses heightened. She was overwhelmed, her thoughts racing as she tried to comprehend the magnitude of the situation. The Alpha King's power was growing, and if Kael and the others were correct, there were traitorous wolves within their own group trying to undermine them. The thought of an unseen foe caused a shiver to run down her spine, particularly one that could be hiding nearby. However, the true burden weighing on her was not solely the fear of being betrayed. She had taken on the responsibility with reluctancy. Although she had agreed to assist, she understood that merely helping wouldn't suffice. Not at t

The following day arrived silently, like a shadow encroaching on the outskirts of a dream. Amora awoke before sunrise, the sky remaining dark, her thoughts from the night before already consuming her mind. Kael's words had a weight that stayed with you, like dense smoke that couldn't be brushed away. Reclining quietly, she focused on the consistent pattern of her breath, attempting to collect her thoughts before confronting the impending truth. She wasn't prepared to confront the group once more. And she absolutely wasn't prepared to confront what was hiding in the darkness, biding its time to attack. However, whether prepared or not, the world kept moving forward for everyone, especially for her.The clearing mentioned by Kael was located several miles beyond the city, concealed deep in the woods. It had been years since she last visited, since she departed from the group and everything unraveled. The memories of that location were intertwined with her own sorrow, too agonizing to g

  • The hybrids alpha pact   Deal sealed in blood

The forest was draped with silence as heavy as a blanket in the night. Amora's every breath was calculated, fearing that breathing too deeply could expose her innermost thoughts. Meeting Nikolai had made her feel uneasy, although she would never acknowledge it openly. His words of caution reverberated in her thoughts. A war is on the horizon. She couldn't refute the plain truth in his statement, despite her desire to do so.She experienced the heaviness, as though the sky was on the verge of bursting open and unleashing chaos on her world.Moving forward cautiously, she scanned the horizon once more. There were only trees and shadows around, but she couldn't rid herself of the sensation that eyes were observing her from all directions. Her usual instincts were correct, and tonight they were loudly alerting her.Conflict. The sound echoed like a far-off drumming, tugging at the innermost core of her existence. While she walked back to the edge of the woods, her mind wandered to Deven.

  • The hybrids alpha pact   Beneath the surface

Amora felt the ground underneath her change drastically. Not only did a storm rage in the skies, but also in her heart. Each day seemed like a struggle to maintain her composure as everything surrounding her loomed to tear her apart. She stood on the outskirts of the forest, feeling the blend of moisture and pine scent in the air, combined with the stress that had been lingering with her for days. The silence became too thick and too still, reminiscent of a familiar feeling, as if the world was anticipating something dreadful to occur. Her blue eyes scanned the trees as she tucked a stray lock of her black hair behind her ear. There was something present outside. She sensed it under her skin, like a second heartbeat, pulsing quietly and consistently. Since her altercation with Deven, she couldn't shake the sense of impending danger. His gray eyes had penetrated her defenses, and his words lingered in her mind like a haunting presence. However, this was no longer concerning him. This c

  • The hybrids alpha pact   The way you left

Amora’s POVStepping out of the boathouse, the cold night air felt like a sudden slap, making me wrap my jacket tighter around me. I was frantically trying to connect the dots between all that had occurred and what was yet to come.Nikolai. Kaida. A werewolf turning on their own species. It seemed as though I was trapped in a never-ending nightmare. However, I needed to remain concentrated. If there was one lesson I had learned from my previous experiences, it was that displaying vulnerability could lead to death. I wasn't going to allow that to happen once more.I had accepted Deven's plan because, in my heart, I understood it was the sole choice. However, that didn't make things less difficult. Returning to the group was the final thing I desired to avoid. They left me, ignored me when I needed them the most. Was I expected to return casually and act as if I was there for assistance?I was uncertain if I could achieve it.However, if it involved halting Nikolai, if it involved safeg

  • The hybrids alpha pact   Drown

Deven’s POVAmora’s eyes never left mine as the weight of the situation began to sink in. We were in this together now, whether we liked it or not. And the thought of facing Nikolai, vampires, and whatever else came our way was daunting. But the moment she agreed to fight alongside me, something inside me shifted—an unspoken bond that couldn’t be broken, no matter how much I tried to deny it before.“I’ll contact the pack,” she said, her voice more confident, even though I could see the hesitation in her eyes. “But we’ll need a plan. They won’t just listen to me after everything that’s happened.”“I’ll figure out the details,” I replied, pacing the small room as I thought it through. “We need leverage, something that’ll convince them this is in their best interest too.”“Leverage?” she questioned, raising an eyebrow. “They’re werewolves, Deven. They don’t respond well to threats.”“Not threats,” I corrected, pausing mid-stride. “Incentives. They’ll want something in return for helping
