That stare

Like they say time waits for nobody , it has been 8 years since Cassy parted ways with fred though she calls her mother frequently but she didn’t ever want to step her feet home as the memories she was finally forgetting was going to flood back if she do .

Though life hasn’t been nice this past 8 years but it was better than her life back home Cassy has rounded up her education and has rented an apartment of her own here in Mexico and became a model after a successful plastic surgery

She was now among the pretty lady’s in the modeling industry.

She just decided to go for her dream career last year after the surgery. Science courses irritates her right from a child but she was forced to go for science class because of her ugliness so after the surgery she decided to give her dream a shot and boom it went well. Though she hasn’t become famous but she hope to so she has been giving her best to the industry .

Ding ding ding the continuous ring of Cassy’s phone jotted her up from dream land .

“ hello “ Cassy said yawning

“ hi miss Cassandra Justine am calling to remind you of your appointment today with refinement modeling agency at 9:00 am “ a feminine voice spoke at the other end

“ alright Abigail it’s 7:54 already I will get ready now I don’t want to be late “ Cassy said standing

“ alright ma I have a meeting with someone so I won’t be able to pick you up can you arrange for a ride to the company “ Abigail asked politely

“ don’t bother your self I will do that right away take care “Cassy said searching through her wardrobe for something to wear

“Thank you ma “ Abigail said before disconnecting the call .

Placing her phone on the bed , Cassy enter the bathroom to have her bath .

Abigail happens to be Cassy’s manager.

After a thorough bath Cassy came out wiping off water from her body with a towel .

Picking up her phone she search through the contacts then dialed “ jack “

Jack was the first friend Cassy made when she came to Mexico 8 years ago though he asked her out but she didn’t want so he just accepted just normal friendship and they have been cool ever since .

“ hi jack “ Cassy said applying her lotion

“ hi Cassy good morning “ jack greeted

“ are you busy “ Cassy asked

“ yeah but if you need my help all other things can wait you know “ jack said at the other ends

“ go away with your sweet mouth” Cassy said laughing.

“ you know am serious right” jack asked

“ I don’t know well anyways can you drop me off at refinement modeling agency for the appointment i told you about?” Cassy asked rolling her eyes even when she knows jack can never said no to anything she asked of

“ as your majesty wishes“ jack said laughing

“ thanks I will be waiting I have to get there before eight forty so I can settle down before the meeting at nine “ Cassy said all smile

“ it’s already 8:15 I will be on my way then “ jack said excitedly

“ okay I will be waiting “ Cassy said disconnecting the call .

Picking up a black shirt with a blue skirt , Cassy wore them as fast as she could .

She wore a pink lip stick and applied a little powder on her face .

Pick up a black heels from her shoe rack .

“ hello “ she said after swiping the receive button of her ringing phone

“ am outside your apartment “ jack said over the phone

“ oh I will be right there “ Cassy said disconnecting the calls

Putting on her heels and taking her handbag, Cassy dashed out she was not going to be late to this appointment. How could she even go late when she was signing into a new modeling agency.

“ aww you look so pretty “ jack said immediately Cassy got out of her apartment.

“ hey no time for compliments we are friends and we have a lot of times together for compliments but if I go late the agency will be having a second though on signing me in “ Cassy scolded smiling

“ you know if you scold a child smiling the child won’t even listen to you but am a good boy let’s go “ jack said opening the car door for Cassy

“ what ever”Cassy said wearing the seat belt

At 8:35 jack car drove into refinement modeling agency

“ take care “ Cassy said coming down from jack’s car

“ should I wait for you “ jack asked

“ no Abigail will drive me home “ Cassy said walking away

“ good luck “ jack’s voice echoed

Cassy walk to the reception where she met Abigail waiting

“ welcome ma at a time I was worried you will be late because of the ride “ Abigail said

“ jack dropped me off “ Cassy said checking her wristwatch

“ the receptionist asked us to wait here she will call us in for the meeting at nine “ Abigail said rubbing her palms together

“ alright it’s 8:42 at least I have a few minutes to relax a bit “ Cassy said sitting .

“ ma pls come in the CEO want to attend to you by himself “ the receptionist said she was shocked when the CEO said he will be attending to Cassandra Justine alone that she should inform the company staffs not to bother coming

Fred has earlier asked for the model they were-signing in files and there was a striking resemblance with someone he saw years ago

“ you may sit “ Fred said pointing at seats for the two ladies

“ thank you sir “Abigail and Cassy chorus sitting down

“ so let’s go straight to business “ Fred said staring at Cassy

It was like a staring competition between Fred and Cassy and no one was saying Anything

Sensing the tension in the room Abigail cleared her voice

She didn’t understand why Cassy and the CEO were staring at each other

“ oh sorry .well ,without wasting your time , I want to congratulate you you’ve been accepted just sign here “ Fred said pushing a file towards Cassy

“ oh thank you sir I really appreciate the privilege “ Cassy said signing the paper

“ I hope to know you more here “ Fred said giving Cassy a piece of paper containing an address

“ I want us to celebrate there and pls come alone “ Fred added seeing the expressions on both ladies face he himself could not believe what he was doing

“ alright sir “ Cassy said taking the paper before walking out with Abigail

“ I don’t know what am doing what if it’s not her she would have recognized me if it was her right oh what am I even saying I don’t wear mask anymore how is she supposed to remember me “ Fred thought To himself .

“ ma that was easier than expected “ Abigail said trying to engage Cassy in a little conversation as she seem totally withdrawn

“ yeah something seems off “ Cassy said trying to figure out something she seems to know that man but that face is not familiar at all

“ do you want me to come with you I don’t need to appear with you I can just be watching from afar “Abigail suggested

“ no you don’t have to I will be fine “ Cassy said not wanting to bother her

Entering Abigails car Cassy was lost in her thoughts .
