 *Logan*

After we unloaded all their bags and got them inside, which took some time as there was quite a lot of stuff. I talked a bit to Ryan, even though he still annoys me and told him they can stay in the tents tonight, it will be easier for them to get help tomorrow.

“Have you seen my phone ?” I ask AJ as I walk into the living room.

He shakes his head. “No, not since before your shower”.

“Hmm I might have put it in my room”. I turn to walk out again.

“Hey Logan, by the way Lee is using your shower, just so you, don’t just walk in”. He calls out, and I give him a nod to say I have heard him.

I walk down to my bedroom, the door is slightly ajar, and I can hear the water running in the bathroom, so I expect he is in there. Okay so no problem just taking a look if I left the phone on my bedside table.

Slipping into the room I freeze, and it takes me a moment to realise what I am seeing. Lee naked, his back to me. “Shit sorry man, I didn’t mean too ...”. I cut myself off when I realise he has earbuds in and can’t hear me.

I know I should just go, but I feel paralyzed and then I realise to my own shock that my body is responding to the sight in front of me and my wolf is bursting in my head, trying to tell me what I do not want to hear ... What the ? No wait, I am not attracted to men, at all, never even thought about it. Not that I,have a problem with it, it’s just not for me so what the fuck is happening ? He can’t be my mate.

He bends down and two things hit me, one he has really long hair and his skin looks oddly hairless and smooth, even for a young man … then he pulls up red lace panties … wait what ? and turns around, his ... no wait, her breasts bouncing slightly … Oh bingo Logan, Lee is a girl ... an absolutely stunning girl who is staring at you like you are some freak.

“Oh wow ... you are her ... you are not a boy”. Yeah I sound like a retard.

She desperately tries to cover herself, yelling because of the earbuds, or maybe because I am just standing here like a moron. “For fucks sake Logan ... I am naked here”.

“Yeah ... sorry, I thought you were a teenage boy ... wait that didn’t ... I mean I thought you were in the shower ... no not much better, sorry”. She is a bit on the skinny side, but her legs are amazing, long and perfectly shaped.

“Get the fuck out you pervert ... out now”. She screams and I hurriedly turn on my heels, almost running out of there.

I slump down on a chair in the kitchen, trying to collect myself. Okay really happy she isn’t a boy. I mean I don’t think I could handle being attracted to teenage boys all of a sudden, not to mention mated to one ... that would freak me out just a bit honestly.

But damn those legs ... no Logan, for god's sake she might be female ... but she is a teenager for fucks sake, you could be her father and I definitely do not see myself as one of those Alpha’s who will drool over young women, not that young ones at least.

She had a really nice ass too.

I rub a hand over my face, breathing out slowly. Yes, you saw her naked and yes it was a rather nice ... sight ... and yes it has been a while ... but no, I need to keep my mind out of the gutter. I also need to apologise ... a real apology.

 *Hadley*

I pull on the rest of my clothes. Fuck so Logan just saw me naked with my ass in the air ... Well at least the cat is out the back, he knows I am not a boy.

So maybe it was a bit much screaming at him like that, but he surprised me and well it was rather embarrassing too.

As soon as I walk out, now wearing leggings and a soft plaid shirt, he stands up, clearly having waited in the kitchen. “I am so sorry Hadley. I heard the water running and thought that you ... Lee was still in the shower. Sorry for acting so weird too, honestly I was shocked ... not that you look shocking … you look good. God, I mean ... Okay I’ll stop talking now ... sorry”.

“Logan … it’s okay”. I mean it’s clear to see he is honest and a bit out of it. I know he didn’t know I was there. “I was filling water in the sink to try and soak my hoodie, I got some stuff on it in the crash”.

“I promise I wasn’t staring … in a creepy way I mean”. He sighs, running a hand over his face. “I honestly am not some pervert, I was just shocked because ... well didn’t expect you there and I genuinely thought you were ... like a 14 year old boy and that was really weird for ... okay stopping again”.

I step up to him, putting my hand on his chest. “You really ramble a lot ... But you are kinda cute when you ramble”.

“Uhm thanks, I think”. He is looking at my hand. Yeah okay I know I probably shouldn’t be flirting with him. I mean he has to be, at least thirty or something ... but he really is handsome and so cute being all flustered … and I feel this pull towards him that I can’t explain.

Okay I know it, I am bad ... really bad. But something about him is enticing ... I want to know more about him. My hand slides up over his shoulder and down to squeeze one of those magnificent biceps. “So there really wasn’t much padding in that costume after all”.

He takes my hand removing it, his eyes catching mine, they are soft, friendly and a bit worried. “Hadley ... you are a sweet girl, but a girl nonetheless. I mean you are what ... like eighteen ... ?”

“Nineteen ... I am nineteen”. I mumble, warmth is spreading through my arm from where he is touching me.

“Nineteen then ... you are a teenager, you should not be flirting with grown men”. His forehead scrunches up. “Do you even know how old I am ?”

I shrug, by the way don’t think I am some kind of ... flirty or ... easy girl. I am actually not, I very rarely flirt and I have only been with one other man beside Ryan. “Uhm like thirty or something”.

“You are flattering me, but thanks. I think the greys are starting to talk for themself though”. He lets go of my hand. “Hadley I am thirty nine. I am turning forty in the fall. I am twice your age ... more than twice your age. I could be your father ... so ... I am far too old for you and you are definitely too young for me too ... way too young”.

I know he means well, but for some reason it makes my stomach knot up painfully. “I’m not a kid you know”.

“Oh I know ...”. The words come out slightly breathless, making me look up at him, something odd flashing through his eyes, but then he smiles softly. “But it doesn’t change the fact that compared to me -.. you kinda are”.

“Sorry, I didn’t mean to make you feel uncomfortable”. I bite my lip. I do not want to humiliate myself.

He gives me the most brilliant smile. “No problem sweetie, by the way I told Ryan that you guys can stay here till tomorrow and he accepted. I have some luxury tents out back. I hope it’s okay with you ?”

“Sounds great honestly”. I am happy not having to get back on another bus tonight. “Thanks Logan”.

“Your welcome darling”. He puts an arm around my shoulder, leading me to the living room. “Friends ?”

I nod, leaning slightly against him, my arm slipping around his waist. “Friends”.

  • The rogue Alpha’s little siren   Epilogue

*Hadley* As the sun dips below the horizon, casting a warm glow over our backyard in Texas. Logan is playfully chasing our two-year-old son, Jasper, as he giggles and runs around in circles. I watch from the porch, a smile on my face. My hands resting on my pregnant belly. "Hey, troublemakers," I call out to Logan, catching his attention. He grins and walks over. "What's up, love of my life?" Logan asks. Taking a deep breath, I share, "I have something to tell you." I run my hand over my belly. Logan's eyes light up. "What is it?" With a smile, I reveal, "I went to the doctor today, and… we are going to have twins." Logan's joy is palpable. "Twins? That's amazing, love! Our family is growing rapidly." “Something doesn’t scare you.” I ask, raising a brow. He smiles and shakes his head. “Not the least, the more the marrier.” “Da da.” Jasper says pulling at Logan’s hand. “What twins?” Logan swings him up in his arms. “That, champ, means you are gonna have two brothers or sist

  • The rogue Alpha’s little siren   Finally peace

*Logan* I stretch out on the lounge chair in our backyard, the warm Texas sun bathing my skin in a golden glow. The gentle breeze rustles the leaves of the oak tree overhead, and for the first time in what feels like forever, peace settles in my bones. Blue lies at my feet, his ears twitching occasionally as he naps. Almost completely recovered now I can’t believe I actually died, like full on kicked the bucket… Calix sent me six feet under, well metaphorically, luckily no one buried me. The others explained how Hadley brought me back. "Hey, lazy wolf," Hadley's melodic voice breaks through the serene silence. I tilt my head back to see her standing at the back door, a playful smile dancing on her lips. Despite all we have been through, that smile never fails to make my heart race. "Hey yourself, songbird," I reply, grinning. "Come join me. The sun feels amazing." She walks over, it is like she has gained a new confidence in herself, a connection to her true self and her sirene

*Hadley* The words hang in the air, echoing in my mind, "I'm sorry." I struggle to breathe, my legs feel weak, but I force myself to stand, to face what's next. "What happened?" I manage to ask, my voice barely above a whisper. The doctor sighs, looking down at his hands. "He experienced severe cramps and stopped breathing. We did everything we could, but there was nothing more we could do. I'm truly sorry." “I need to see him,” I say. I know my heart won’t accept this unless I see it with my own eyes. The world blurs for a moment, my vision swimming with tears. Nick steps forward, placing a hand on my shoulder. "Hadley, maybe you shouldn't…" "No," I cut him off, my voice sharper than intended. "I need to see him." Nick hesitates, then nods. LZ looks at me, his eyes filled with sorrow, but he doesn't protest. Together, we step into Logan's room. The machines have been removed, leaving the room eerily quiet. Logan looks like he's sleeping, a peaceful expression on his face that

*Hadley*Ryan's grip tightens on LZ, and in that moment, I feel my world teetering on the edge of oblivion. LZ's eyes meet mine, a silent goodbye I refuse to accept. It's like the universe pauses, waiting for my move, a move I don't know how to make… until something deep inside me stirs. It's a weird sensation, like a hum in my blood, a melody that's been silent for too long finally bursting forth. I have never felt anything like it, I did not know I was capable… but it's as if every part of me recognizes this power, knows it's been mine all along, just waiting.I don't think; I react. My hand shoots up, not really knowing what I'm aiming for, only that I need to stop Ryan, save LZ, do something. The air around us seems to vibrate, and then, like breaking through the surface after being underwater for too long, I feel it unleash.Words, or maybe it's just pure sound, spills out of me. It doesn't make sense, but it doesn't have to. It's power, raw and ancient, a siren's call that no on

  • The rogue Alpha’s little siren   Last moments

*Hadley*In the split second it takes for fear to crystallize in my veins, Nick, in his majestic wolf form, surges forward. His massive body barrels into the space between me and the descending enemy, intercepting the attack with a collision that echoes through the warehouse like a thunderclap. The force sends the enemy sprawling, thrown off course by the sheer might of Nick's intervention. His protective stance, a formidable barrier between me and harm, is a silent vow of safety in the chaos.Nick doesn't pause to savor the moment; his head swivels, amber eyes scanning for the next threat, always vigilant. I'm momentarily stunned by the primal power he embodies, the line between man and beast blurred in his protective ferocity.“Thanks,” I mumble softly. The wolf gives me a nod, and what looks like a wolfish grin. The battle rages on around us, a maelic dance of shadows flickering in the dim light. We're a team, moving with a synchronicity born of desperation and a mutual drive to sa

  • The rogue Alpha’s little siren   Fighting for him

*Hadley*The parking lot is a cold, unforgiving space where my impatience battles with the freezing night air. I'm pacing, my footsteps echoing off the concrete, each step a sharp jab of frustration aimed at the sluggish passage of time. LZ's voice, steady and understanding, breaks through my internal storm. "I get it, Hadley. I do. But diving headfirst into danger without a plan is not going to help Logan. We need to be smart about this."I'm about to retort, the words perched on the tip of my tongue, when the sound of an approaching vehicle cuts me off. It's the old pick-up, rugged and worn, pulling into the space beside us with a sense of urgency that mirrors the frantic beating of my heart. Marshall jumps out, his presence a solid reassurance. "I've got Logan covered," he promises, and something in his tone, a fierce determination, eases a fraction of the tightness in my chest.I don't hesitate, climbing into the vehicle first, followed by LZ. The interior smells of leather and ol
