Chapter 40

Lucy p.o.v 

I changed my bedspread to a new one, and took the blood-stained one to the laundry room, I soaked it in the machine and left for my room.

I couldn't go back to lock the door again because I was tired, so I just slept on my bed, weeping and blaming myself for what happened, I knew when Ryder and Simon arrived, but I didn't move an inch from where I lay down at.

How will I even face them?.

I kept tossing and turning on the bed till I drifted to sleep.

I woke up the next morning and went straight to the laundry room, I washed the bedspread I soaked and put it in the dryer when I  was done there, I went to my room and took my bath, I changed into a casual dress and went to the living room with a stick of cigarette in my hand.

I tried all I could to hide the pain in my eyes, and make sure I didn't limp.
