Ava’s pov:

I was jolted awake to the sound of my phone ringing.

An unknown number flashed on the screen, and I hesitated for a moment before answering.

It could be Liam trying to get to me since I’ve been ignoring his calls.

"Hello?" I said, my voice hoarse from sleep.

"Ava," the voice on the other end said.

I immediately recognized that voice even though it has been ages,I will always recognize it.

“Grandpa?”

“My child,I came back home and daddy said you left the house”

“Yes grandpa,I know you want to convince me to come back home but I won’t”

“My child,you should come back home if not for your father,do it for your sweet grandpa”

“It’s been ages I saw you grandpa,I miss you so much”

“I miss you too my child,I will be waiting for your return”

“Okay,grandpa,take care”

“You too my child”

The call ended and I took a deep breath.

Olivia walked out from the bathroom,a towel on her head.

“Hi best friend,how are you feeling???”

“Better than yesterday,at least I can breath”

“That’s nice”
