chapter one hundred and seventy one

Olivia POV

The weekend went by quickly. I had just gotten out of my father's car, after listening to a sermon the whole way. Louis attended a different school, so I said goodbye to him and left the car without even saying goodbye to my dad. We avoided talking about what was coming, Mother's Day.

As always at school, I, the cheerleader captain, organized a tribute to mothers at the game, which was also a tribute to mothers. Every year was the same; every year the girls did what they were doing right now. As soon as I entered the school, I was greeted by a bunch of girls who wanted to be in the performance. I ignored most of them and went to my locker.

"Well, if it isn't the rebel of the week," Tina, the only one who comes close to being a friend to me, said. "You killed it at your dad's party. I looked for you when I was leaving, but couldn't find you."

"I was in my room, a lot happened; I needed to think." I grabbed my books, and we kept walking.
