Lady Ashley who was aware of what Dominic stated gripped her fork and went on to put the food to her mouth as if she had heard nothing. Dominic enjoyed torturing how the woman struggle to keep up her face on being the perfect mother she wanted to pose when in truth she was holding a dagger on her hand, waiting for the right time to attack him.

"The Opera have started again this year. I was thinking to hold a welcoming party for Rose both socially and privately," she then veered the conversation, trying to bury what Dominic had wanted to insinuate before Rose could tell what the underlaying meaning beneath his words.

"Privately. I can do that alone finely," Dominic replied while looking into Rose's eyes.

The lady was annoyed by how Dominic remained nonchalant in attitude when they both knew her attention to kill him. He should have been angry or make a ruckus which she can then manipulate the situation to make herself as the better person but instead, Dominic had gotten under her skin
