Chapter 6

ผู้เขียน: Jasmine Flower
By the time Damian and the others reached Frostland's pack transfer office inside Blood Moon territory, the transfer vehicle had already been gone for three hours.

After verifying Damian's identity, the staff member looked up.

“What is your relationship to Researcher Aria Vale?”

“I'm her future mate.”

The staff member checked the file, then answered calmly.

“Researcher Vale has no registered mate and has never accepted an official mate mark. Your name is not on her authorization list.”

Damian's

His hand remained suspended between us.It took him a long time to speak again.“Now that the classified period is over... can I visit you at Frostland?”“The research facility allows members of outside packs to visit during open days.”I looked at him.“You can apply through the standard visitor process.”“Just as a regular visitor?”“What else would you be?”Damian stared at me.Whatever he had wanted to say, he swallowed it in the end.The day after the presentation, my parents prepared a family dinner for me.My father placed Frostland's Phase Two research plan on the table and told me the next project would last at least another five years.“Do you want to stay in the North?”“Yes.”He was quiet for a moment before sliding the plan back toward me.“Then stay.”“No matter which pack you belong to, this will always be your home.”Before leaving Blood Moon Pack, I visited the pack manor where I'd grown up one last time. The ancient tree that had witnessed our first group shift was st

My father didn't try to persuade me.He simply nodded.Over the next few years, the project failed more times than I could count.Equipment was destroyed in blizzards. Simulated wolf-core samples were ruined when the temperature controls malfunctioned. There were stretches when we spent days inside the testing zone recalibrating data and rebuilding entire models from scratch. But no one here treated my independence like an excuse to dump everything on me.My mentor asked for my opinion. My teammates took over when my wolf core became unstable. And every result was credited according to actual contribution.Little by little, I adapted to life at Frostland.Eventually, even the pain left behind by the severed childhood bonds disappeared completely.Meanwhile, Damian and the others enrolled at Moonvale Academy.Damian transferred into wolf-core engineering, hoping it might qualify him for access to Frostland. But recruitment for the classified core program had long since closed. He submit

Damian didn't argue.Lyra had manipulated them. But the only reason it had worked was because they had already decided to stand on her side. All she had to do was shed a single tear, and they were willing to place every accusation on me.Damian closed the video and took the moonstone pendant from his pocket. He placed it on the table.“Starting today, you're moving out of my house.”Lyra stared at him in disbelief.“You're kicking me out?”“You are still a member Blood Moon Pack recovered and brought home. The pack will arrange housing for you and cover your living expenses.”His voice remained cold.“But you are no longer allowed in our private spaces, and you will not use anything Aria left behind.”“But you promised you'd take care of me.”“Taking care of you does not mean letting you replace her.”“And it certainly doesn't mean letting you frame her.”Lyra looked toward the other three, hoping at least one of them would defend her.Rowan only stared down at the damaged medal in his

The cloud account didn't open to the five-person photos or childhood videos they had expected to see.Instead, the first thing on the screen was a folder labeled with my name.Inside were the wolf-core research awards I'd earned over the years, my experimental records, and two invitations from Frostland Academy's mentors. The first invitation had been sent two years earlier.Frostland had offered to reserve a place for me in its core research program. My reply was still there.【Thank you for recognizing my work, but I've already promised to stay here in Blood Moon territory and attend Moonvale with the people who matter most to me.】The second invitation had arrived a year later.I had turned that one down too.【We promised we wouldn't separate. As much as I want Frostland, I'd rather stay here with them.】Asher stared at the two rejection letters. It felt as if something heavy had settled over his chest.“She turned them down twice because of us.”All this time, they had comforted the

Damian had no answer. It was precisely because he'd stood there in silence that those girls had dared to assume I'd already lost the protection of Blood Moon's future Alpha. And when he finally did walk over, it hadn't been to stop them from humiliating me.He'd accused me of hurting Lyra in front of everyone and ordered me to leave the academy. When Damian said nothing, the girl hurried to explain herself.“Lyra told us Aria was jealous because you guys were taking care of her. She also said Aria refused to help with her birthday video on purpose.”“We were only trying to stand up for Lyra.”“The academy will investigate what happened,” Damian cut her off. “Until the investigation is complete, your graduation records and pack-position assignments will be suspended.”The girl's face went white.“You're suspending our positions over a few words?”Damian stared at her.“You publicly humiliated the only Blood Moon researcher admitted to Frostland's core program and tried to take her perso

Rowan's expression darkened.“Were you planning to replace Aria's initial with your own too?”Lyra's eyes instantly reddened.“Aria gave me the pendant. Isn't it strange for me to wear something with her name carved into it?”“So your solution was to erase every trace she left behind?” Asher asked.“You were the ones who said you wanted to give me the childhood I missed.”Lyra looked at all four of them, tears spilling down her face.“You were the ones who told Aria to delete herself from the birthday video.”“Now that she's actually gone, you're going to blame everything on me?”Rowan opened his mouth to argue, but Julian cut him off.“She's not wrong.”It had been Lyra's idea to make everyone reveal their first-choice academy. But Damian had created the four fake applications.Rowan had stopped me from questioning Lyra.Julian had justified the entire deception as the best outcome for everyone. And Asher had been the one who forced me to erase myself from the videos.Lyra had wanted
