Grace woke up to sunlight streaming through the window. For a moment, she forgot where she was. Then it all came back. The kiss. Mason bursting in. The fight outside.

She sat up. The cabin was quiet.

She walked out to the living room. Aiden was already awake. He was sitting on the couch with a cup of coffee. A small wrapped box sat on the table in front of him.

"Merry Christmas," he said softly.

Grace had completely forgotten. "It's Christmas?"

"Yeah. Christmas morning."
