Royce pushes the door open, his eyes quickly darting through the room quickly before landing on Raven laying on her bed.

“You’ve been out of reach,” He asks, frowning, watching her calculatingly.

Raven replies, “how did you find out where I live? I don’t remember telling you,” her voice is cautious but Royce doesn’t miss the air of irritation in it either.

He grunts, feeling his wolf’s agitation bleed into him. Last night, he had shadowed Raven to the dance to see if he could find any hint on this mysterious friend she seems to be hiding when his wolf suddenly started whimpering, filled with rage and ready to massacre.

Its mate was in pain and his wolf was desperate to save her but by the time he followed Raven’s scent to the dance, she was gone and then he couldn’t sense her all night at all up until a few hours ago.

“Where were you last night?”

“School function.”

“After that?” He inches closer, keeping his eyes on her.

“Is something wr—“ Raven winces, pursing her lips and

  • Till Death Do Us Apart   Chapter 62

Raven’s heart thuds but she keeps her face straight and pretends to ignore the staring contest between the two men as she walks towards Royce. Without being told, she already knows why Royce is staring at him so intensely.Of course he thinks he is Draco, just like she had. Although she had learned the hard way. It finally took being abandoned at the face of danger for her to accept it. Draco would never have left her like that, she refuses to believe that he would. Her fists clench and unclench as she approaches a frowning Royce.“That’s not who you think he is,” she gestures back at Draco with a head tilt, seeing the expression on his face, blocking him from full view of Draco. Royce doesn’t reply and he lightly moves her from his line of sight, “what are you talking about?”“It’s not Draco, he’s just a cheap lookalike,” she says rather loudly, ensuring to catch a glance at Draco as she does but giving most of her attention to Royce.Draco is already turning around and walking in t

  • Till Death Do Us Apart   Chapter 61

The next day, Raven makes her way to school for one reason and one reason only. She still wants to prove that she is right about the drug. But for that to happen, she needs the actual drug samples, but she doesn't have any left, not in her apartment anyway. She has been avoiding campus for days now, but she knows that she cannot keep hiding forever. Not when students are still dying and she might be the only person who can figure out why. The walk to the chemistry building feels weird. It feels like everyone is staring at her even though they are probably not. Still, she keeps her head down and walks faster. When she gets to the lab, she hesitates for a second before scanning her access card. She is skeptical, thinking that the professor might have blocked her access to the lab. However, she's surprised to find that it still works when the door beeps green. She expected him to have cut her off by now after everything that happened. After the threats and the way she just dis

Later that evening, Royce drives to his shoe factory on the outskirts of town. He walks through the factory floor, nodding at some of his men who are hanging around, before heading to a hidden entrance behind some gigantic shoe boxes. He opens the door and walks through. It leads down to a basement that is originally in the storage room, but he has converted it into something way more useful. The underground lab is small, but it has everything that he needs, state of the art equipment that is probably better than what they have at the university. In the middle of the room, Scott is hunched over a desk with Raven's journal spread out in front of him. He looks nervous as usual and keeps pushing his glasses up his nose. "How’s it going?" Royce asks. Scott jumps at his voice, snapping his gaze to him. "I have been looking at her methods, comparing them with the professor's formula. It's similar, but there are distinct changes." "If you want to ever see the sunlight again, you’d do

Letting another man into her life is letting him into her body, her soul, her spirit and Draco has his prints all over all of them, she just doesn’t know how to wipe it out or if she can.To have loved a man way before you understood what love or romance is and for that same man to have been your fated mate, the one you were created specifically for is not something you discard so easily.Despite the professor's threat, she has been going to her classes as normal but making sure to avoid anything related to the professor or the lab and she doesn’t attend his classes. She has not been to the private lab too, mainly because she feels embarrassed by her actions, and she thinks that Royce might be mad at her or something, she hasn’t seen him since she left his house the next day after the incident. She is afraid that she might bump into him, and she doesn't know how she will address her runaway exit when she does. That night, she had thought she was ready to forget about Draco and move on

"This looks nice." Raven's eyes sweep over the living room that she has spent the whole afternoon fixing up. She had moved the heavy table from the kitchen to the middle of the space and covered it with a tablecloth she had found in the hall closet. Everything is nicely set, and every scented candle shows her nervous face back at her. It is pretty, and it is for Royce. "Will he like it?" she thinks with a slight frown. Her wolf has been happy all day, watching her movements as she got the place ready. "Yes, he will love it," her wolf replies with optimism. Raven lets out a nervous breath and suddenly feels tears come to her eyes. She is not sure if letting Draco go is something she can actually do, but she doesn’t see the harm in giving Royce a chance. Her wolf feels good from her words. "Royce is our mate and only wants to see you happy. As long as he's here, he will take care of everything." Her wolf echoes the same words she has been using to convince herself. Raven let

  • Till Death Do Us Apart   Chapter 57

“A private lab?” Raven’s eyes sweep over the lab that would have taken a lot of money to fund. Everything is the best of its kind and every surface reflects her image back at her. It is magnificent, and it is hers? “Is this for me?” she asks in disbelief. Royce’s gaze has been on her all along, following her eyes as they examine the place. “Yes, for you,” he confirms with a charming smile. Raven lets out an excited shriek and unexpectedly jumps into his arms for a hug. “Thank you, thank you.” Royce revels in her touch but is slightly amused by her reaction. Letting out a chuckle, he returns the embrace. “You don't have to thank me. I only want to see you happy, and as long as I'm here, you don't have to worry about anything.” He promises with a serious tone. Raven does not seem to register his words, saying thank you again before getting distracted by admiring the lab again. She takes the first step forward, her fingers trailing over the surface as she slowly walks around
