Chapter 7

Author: Lady Lily
The man leaned close, trailing a hand over the strap of Summer’s camisole. "The client said we need to make this look real. You’re being so stiff, miss. You’re making my job hard."

Summer glared at him, her eyes cold. "Get your hands off me."

"Damn, you smell good."

Instead of pulling away, his hand rubbed against her shoulder. His hot, heavy breath brushed against her skin as he moved in closer.

Nauseated, Summer shoved him hard, but he flipped over and pinned her beneath him.

"What are you doing? Get off me!"

"Oh, stop playing innocent. You drank the water. In a minute, you’ll be begging me to touch you."

He tried to force himself on her. Furious, Summer grabbed his greasy hands, squirming desperately to dodge his mouth as he kept lunging for her face.

Moira, that vile woman, had actually had this man drug her.

The drug hit the man fast. His eyes flushed red, his breathing turned ragged, and his grip tightened as he completely lost control.

Summer felt her strength slipping away with every second...

Just as she reached the point of panic, the door beeped open.

Just like a month ago, Ian burst in, with Moira right on his heels.

Moira pointed a finger at Summer, her expression filled with pure disgust. "You... you really can’t stop, can you? I thought I misread things, but it really is you..."

Summer turned her head and met Ian’s gaze.

Taking advantage of the distraction, the man lying on top of her tore open her camisole.

A violent shiver ran through Summer as she fought to pin the man’s hands back down.

She looked at Ian, tears glistening in her eyes. "Ian..."

The words *save me* caught in her throat. She couldn’t make a sound.

Moira slipped her arm through Ian’s. "Ian, don’t look. Let’s just go. Summer isn’t worth your time. Why do you keep caring about her?"

"No... that’s not what happened. I..." Summer’s voice shook.

She wanted to tell him none of this was real, but the words stuck in her throat.

Moira shot her a dark, vicious look—a single glance dripping with threats, warning, and cruelty.

"Summer." Ian finally spoke. His voice was laced with pure hatred, and his cold stare pierced right through her like a blade. "You disgust me."

"Ian, let’s go," Moira urged, pulling him toward the door. "If she makes you sick, just never see her again."

"Ian..."

"Don’t call my name. You’re filthy."

Summer’s chest tightened, and her tears overflowed.

"Summer, I’m warning you," Moira added. "After everything you’ve done, you better stay far away from Ian. He’s a good person. Don’t taint him with your filth."

"Moira..." Summer bit her lip hard. Gathering every ounce of strength left in her, she shoved the man off her body. "You’ll pay for this..."

"Summer, are you blaming me for telling Ian I saw you enter this room?" Moira leaned against Ian’s shoulder, putting on a pitiful act. "How was I supposed to know you were coming here to meet another man?"

"Moira, let’s go." Ian didn’t even glance at Summer as he turned to leave.

"Don’t go... I..." Summer scrambled off the bed, tumbling onto the floor. She didn't dare think about what would happen to her if she let Ian walk out that door.

Her desperate plea made Ian freeze in his tracks.

He turned back, only to see her lying there, barely covered.

Ian’s expression turned utterly cold. His eyes grew dark and ruthless, staring at Summer as if she were a complete stranger.

"I’ll leave you to it. Enjoy yourself, Summer."

Summer froze.

She watched helplessly as Ian turned and walked away.

Moira flashed a triumphant smirk over her shoulder before stepping out and pulling the door shut.

The heavy slam echoed in Summer’s chest like thunder.

"Ian..."

She wanted to beg him. She wanted him to save her.

But she couldn’t utter a word.

The man she had pushed aside slid off the bed, crawling back toward her like an octopus.

"Get off... get off me!" Summer thrashed violently, blocking his hands wherever they reached.

Her screaming did nothing. The man was completely out of his mind.

"No..."

His greasy hands clamped around her waist. Summer shuddered uncontrollably as tears finally blurred her vision.

A little while later, the hospital room door opened.Summer looked up, thinking Ian had returned. But before she could see who it was, someone rushed toward her and pressed a gleaming knife against her throat.“Miss Blake, look what you've done to Moira! She's in jail awaiting sentencing. You have to die! You have to die with her!”The man seized Summer from behind and roughly pulled her to her feet.Summer shuddered.“Moira pulled out my mother's oxygen tubes. She was arrested because of her own actions. She brought this on herself!”“I don't care! If it weren't for you, none of this would've happened to her!”The man forced Summer toward the window.“And what about you?” Summer asked, stumbling along with him.“Moira's only facing an attempted murder charge. If she behaves herself, she could be out in a few years.“But if you kill me, you could end up being executed. When Moira gets out, who'll be there to protect her?”Her words seemed to give the man pause. His grip lo

Ian silently endured Summer's blows, his eyes filled with panic and fear.“Do you have any idea what that did to me? How much it hurt me, physically and emotionally? I had nightmares every single night! How could you stay by my side and act like nothing had happened?”“I'm sorry. It was my fault. I was young and reckless, and I played a sick, twisted game.”“A game?”Summer gave a bitter laugh.“So it was all just a game.”She pushed against Ian with all her strength, but he held her so tightly that she couldn't break free. Finally, she started stomping on his feet as hard as she could.Still, he refused to let go.“I know what I did was unforgivable, Summer. I don't expect you to forgive me right away. Just give me another chance. Let me make it up to you. I'll treat you better than ever.”“Please, just let me go. I don't want to see you anymore.”Summer sobbed, still struggling helplessly against him.“You know how much I loved you. That's how much I hate you now.“I can

Summer enjoyed a few peaceful days.During that time, Ian's parents came to visit. They didn't say much, merely reminding her to get plenty of rest and take good care of herself. One morning, Summer walked Ian out to his car.He insisted on kissing her cheek nine times before finally getting in and driving away.Summer touched her damp cheek, remembering his ridiculous explanation.Nine kisses meant they'd be together forever. She couldn't help smiling. When she returned to the villa, she hadn't even sat down before her phone rang. She glanced at the caller ID.Moira.Summer ignored the call and let the phone ring.Mrs. Hayes brought her some fruit, and Summer settled down with a magazine, eating as she read.Eventually, the ringing stopped.A moment later, her phone chimed with a text message.Summer hadn't intended to read it.But the first few words caught her attention immediately. The man from four years ago.She put down her fruit and magazine, then opened the me

“Stay away from Moira. And if you need to go out, take Mrs. Hayes with you,” Ian scolded.“How was I supposed to know she'd go that crazy?”Summer sighed.“I'll make sure to avoid her from now on.”“Good.”Ian held Summer's hand tightly, as though something terrible might happen to her the moment he let go.He didn't dare imagine what would've happened if Moira hadn't stopped her car.“Don't worry anymore. Nothing happened to me or the baby,” Summer reassured him.“I should just lock you up at home and build four walls around you to keep every danger out.”“Are you worried about the baby or me?”Summer snuggled closer to him, teasing.“The baby's not even born yet, and you're already getting jealous.”“I'm not!”Summer gave his chest a playful punch. After a series of examinations, the doctor confirmed that Summer was fine and the baby was healthy.Only then did Ian finally relax.Michael called Summer to tell her that Moira had regained consciousness but was emotionall
