I had to linger in the restroom area for some minutes to soak in the embarrassment and anger that Donald had placed on me before returning to my table.

When I walked back into the room, my eyes connected with Donald’s and I could see and feel his mocking look. Also, there was this creepy determination in his eyes that told me that he meant every single word he said about being with Alexa.

My blood boiled, but more than I was willing to admit, I feared that Donald would win.

I feared that he had already won and Alexa had already fallen for his charms.

“You went after him, didn’t you?” Vector asked me as soon as I took my seat.

“What made you say that?” I asked him in return.

“Because it is very obvious, Mark. The moment he got up and went to the restroom, you also got up and went in the same direction,” Vector said. Then he continued. “Everyone here can see that you hate Donald and is affected by his presence.”
