ALEXA

The day for my fashion brand launch party was finally here!

I could hardly stay still as Eva did the final fittings on the most beautiful dress I had ever seen, and even better, I was wearing it. Indeed, I argued with Noelle about being the best dressed female even though it was my own show, but now, I could see that she was right.

Noelle was always right about everything.

Goodness, with how beautiful I looked just staring at the mirror, and Eva wasn’t even done yet, I wanted to hug and kiss Noelle for being my stone of support, and for not letting my own thoughts get the better part of me.

“Please, try and stay still,” Eva said gently and professionally.

One thing I noticed about her was how much she had been in her best effort to impress me, and I wondered if it was naturally her work ethic, or she was just doing this because of my perceived new status.

“How did Ivy take it when you told her that you couldn’t make her dress?” I had to ask.

When Eva had told Noelle and I that s

I am so confused by the time Alexa spent with Mark. According to the flashback when he woke from his coma ivy was already back. So how did they spend all this time together that he remembers and all. Did Mark just live with Alexa and ivy allowed it. For how long? Timeline is confusing.

  • Till Divorce Do Us Part   Almost Losing Hope

MARKI met up with Brent a few blocks away from Sydney Bowman’s office.I was deeply astonished to see that Sydney’s establishment was a thriving one. In all honesty, I always knew this establishment, but because his name and face weren’t on his forefront of his company, I never thought twice about it.“Is everything okay?” Brent asked me as we waited. The man Brent had hired to have a consultation with Sydney Bowman had already gone in. The connections had been made, and we simply waited for Sydney’s secretary to usher him into his office. I didn’t realize that my facial expression was reflecting my thought.“I am just astonished, that’s all,” I answered.“What are you shocked about?” Brent asked me.“When Sydney Bowman was fired from the company, run by my dad at that time, he was dead broke,” I answered.“Really?” Brent asked as he became shocked as well.“Yes, Brent, and I knew this because I was also invested in the company,” I told Brent. “My dad was so upset with him for steali

ALEXAI was still trying to wrap my head around what Donald just said when the man stretched his hand for a handshake.“Hello, Alexa Silver, it is nice to meet you,” he said.It would be impolite not to take his offer, and so I placed my hand in his and we shook respectfully. His palm was warm, and there was no iota of threat in his handshake. “Donald has said so many amazing things about you,” he continued with a chuckle. “Almost to the point where I felt he was exaggerating, but after seeing what you are doing with this place, I have to agree with him,” he finished. He was grinning warmly.“Thank you,” I muttered because I didn’t know what else to say, especially as I wasn’t expecting this stranger.“You can always call me Matty Farm,” he said.I looked at Donald, waiting for an explanation, which I had been seeking since he walked into my office unannounced.Donald eventually cleared his throat and began to explain.“Matty is an old friend of mine. We have been friends since we we

  • Till Divorce Do Us Part   Not Handling It Alone

MARKWhen I got to work the next morning, my secretary was right there at her desk, but I just couldn’t see her the same way.“Good morning, Mr. Mark,” she greeted cheerily and professionally.“Good morning,” I responded. “Could you help me book an appointment with…” I started to request, but I changed my mind instantly.I realized that she had gone into the penthouse that Sydney Bowman had allegedly sold to whoever owned it; I still didn’t want to believe that it was owned and bought by Mr. Devon until I made my findings. Telling her to book the appointment for me might raise some suspicions, and from everything that Brent had told me, I needed to work with caution.“What appointment do you want me to make, sir?” She asked me.“Don’t worry about it. I will handle it myself,” I responded and went into my office. Then I called Vector and told him everything that transpired the previous evening in a summary.“That is a whole lot, Mark,” Vector said.“I know that,” I responded. “But wha

ALEXAAs soon as I got into my office, Noelle came in. I had barely settled in for the day when she walked in. As much as I wanted my space for a while, I just didn’t ask her to leave.“Good morning, Alexa,” she greeted.“Good morning, Noelle,” I responded.Noelle sat down and stared at me for so long until it began to make me a little uncomfortable.“What is it, Noelle?” I asked her.“I just feel like our friendship is dwindling,” Noelle said.“Noelle, I am not in the mood to have this conversation with you,” I said, and I meant it.“You ran off yesterday, and since you returned from Toronto, we haven’t had time to talk,” Noelle continued. It was obvious that she wouldn’t give up, and I really didn’t want her to linger for long in my office. I still had to meet up with Mark to discuss about the company, but before then, I needed to get some work done in my own company.“Noelle, I really don’t want to have a conversation with you right now,” I told Noelle, sounding as serious as I cou

MARKSydney Bowman.I remembered the name almost immediately! He was one of my dad’s senior staff members that handled finance and logistics in the company, but when I got back from business school in Toronto, he said that he had fired Sydney.“What happened, dad?” I had asked him. “I thought he was a very competent staff member,” I had added.“He was, until I found out that he was stealing from the company,” my dad had told me.I could rarely believe this because Sydney was one of the men I thought had integrity. My dad even vouched for him several times, just the way he vouched for and trusted Mr. Devon, so I was deeply shocked to hear that he had been fired, and worse, that he was stealing from the company.“Are you sure? How did you find out?” I had asked him.“Mr. Devon revealed his treacherous acts,” he had responded.“Are you sure Mr. Devon didn’t make any mistakes?” I had asked.“Devon has been working for the company since it was founded, Mark, and you know this. Has he ever

  • Till Divorce Do Us Part   Fast Move

MARKMr. Devon left the company before my secretary. He didn’t know that I was still in the parking lot. I contemplated on trailing him the moment he left, but about five minutes later, my secretary also got into her car and drove out. They both had no idea that I was still hanging around.Usually, I would have thought that it was normal, especially as they didn’t leave together. Besides, other employees did leave after Mr. Devon did, but because of the new found information about them, I just couldn’t see things the same way right now.I might be wrong, but I wouldn’t be sure until I found things out by myself. So, I trailed them.I already lost Mr. Devon because of the time space, but I followed my secretary closely, but also in a way that she wouldn’t suspect. I couldn’t recall where her address might be, so I couldn’t tell if she was on the right path or not.I followed her until she arrived at a luxurious penthouse.“Did Mr. Devon rent a penthouse?” I asked myself.Certainly, my
