"Shel?"

I barely whisper as I turn around and look at her.

She held a birthday cake in her hands,the flame from the candle lightning her face.

Regret hits me ,as I realised what it would have looked like.

Her eyes shift between Amara and me and I could see confusion evident in them.

She doesn't know that Amara is Alessa only, my first wife.

I never told her deliberately.

"Shel wow..a birthday cake? Whose birthday is it?"

Amara says with a mocking smirk on her lips, enjoying the straining in our relationship.

She was enjoying this,this has been planned by her.

Shel couldn't answer,her eyes fixed at me as if she couldn't believe what she has seen.

Placing the cake on the side table, she steps back from Amara.

She said , turning around to leave.. I race towards her but before I could follow her ,a pair of arms block my way and I was met with Amara's challenging stare.
