The next morning, the sun was bright, and the air smelled fresh. The hospital was quiet when Adrian walked into Savannah’s room with a wide smile.

“Good morning, Mama,” he said softly, standing by her bed.

Savannah smiled weakly, still holding the tiny baby close to her chest. “Good morning,” she whispered. Her voice was soft, tired but full of peace.

The nurse came in and said, “She can go home today, sir. Both mother and baby are doing fine.”

Adrian’s face brightened. “That’s good news,” he said. He turned to Savannah, his voice gentle. “Ready to go home?”

Savannah nodded slowly. “Yes… I miss the house already.”

Adrian laughed lightly. “Then let’s take our little prince home.”

He went outside and made a few calls. Within minutes, two maids came in carrying a soft baby carrier and a small blanket. They helped Savannah sit up and placed the baby carefully inside.

When they stepped outside, the hospital staff smiled and congratulated them. Adrian opened the car door for

Vanessa was sitting in her car, scrolling through Instagram as usual. The afternoon was hot, and the air conditioner hummed softly. She wasn’t really looking for anything in particular, just killing time. But then something caught her attention — a familiar face flashing across her screen. Her eyes widened as she clicked on the post. It was Marcus. Marcus, wearing a white shirt, grinning from ear to ear, holding a glass of wine in one hand — and beside him, a woman in a red silk dress leaned close to him, her face partly hidden but her smile clear enough. The caption read: *“Good life, good money, good company Vanessa froze, her heart beating faster. “What the hell…” she muttered, zooming in on the picture. She recognized Marcus’s wristwatch — the same one she’d seen him wearing when he came to pick Cassandra up once. “Don’t tell me this is real,” she said under her breath. She checked the comments. Most were just random followers saying “Enjoy boss!” and “Big man moves

The sound of soft music filled the air as Marcus lay lazily on the bed, a smile playing on his lips. The hotel room was grand — gold curtains, white sheets, and the faint smell of wine and perfume. Beside him, Lila sat in a silk robe, sipping a glass of champagne. She laughed softly as she looked at Marcus. “You’re really something else, Marcus. Forty million naira? From one woman?” Marcus smirked. “Not just any woman. Cassandra is easy. She’s blinded by love and greed. I only had to tell her I wanted to grow my business, and she handed me everything.” Lila chuckled. “And now she’s probably crying her eyes out.” Marcus shrugged. “That’s her problem. She thought she could buy a man like me.” Lila shook her head in amusement. “So what’s next for you, big man? You’ve got money, you’ve got me, and a fancy hotel room. What more do you want?” Marcus laughed. “More, of course. I never stop. I’m already planning to invest in something small, just enough to double the money before

The next morning, Cassandra woke up early. Her head was pounding from all the wine and arguments with Vanessa the night before. But as soon as she remembered Marcus, her lips curved into a small smile. She picked up her phone and called him immediately. “Hello, baby,” Marcus said from the other end, his voice smooth and calm. “I was about to call you.” Cassandra smiled. “You miss me already?” “Of course,” Marcus replied quickly. “I couldn’t sleep without hearing your voice.” Her heart melted instantly. “You’re sweet,” she whispered. “I hope the money helped you.” “It did,” Marcus said quickly. “I already started the business move. I’m planning to travel soon to handle things.” “Travel?” Cassandra asked, sounding worried. “Where to?” “Just a short trip, baby. Nothing serious,” Marcus replied. “You trust me, right?” “Of course,” Cassandra said softly, though her heart felt uneasy. After the call ended, she sat there smiling, convincing herself that Marcus truly loved h

The evening breeze was warm, and soft music filled the quiet bar where Cassandra and Vanessa sat. The lights were dim, the place classy — just the kind of spot Cassandra loved. She sipped slowly from her glass of red wine, her diamond earrings glittering under the soft light. Vanessa sat across from her, flipping through her phone, looking bored. “You’ve been too quiet lately,” she said finally. “What’s going on with you? You look like someone carrying the whole world on her head.” Cassandra sighed deeply and glanced around to be sure no one was listening. “You won’t understand, Vanessa.” Vanessa rolled her eyes. “Try me. I’m your best friend, remember?” Cassandra hesitated, then took another sip of wine. “I did something stupid.” Vanessa’s brows went up. “What did you do this time?” Cassandra leaned closer. Her voice dropped to a whisper. “I gave Marcus forty million naira.” Vanessa’s phone slipped from her hand and hit the table with a loud *clack*. “You did wha

The morning started quietly in Nathaniel’s mansion, but the peace didn’t last long. Nathaniel came downstairs with a file in his hand, his face looking angry and tired. Cassandra was sitting on the sofa, painting her nails, pretending not to notice the tension in the air. “Cassandra,” he called sharply. She looked up, blinking fast. “Yes, honey?” He dropped the file on the table. “What is the meaning of this?” Her eyes darted to the papers, then back to him. “What?” Nathaniel crossed his arms. “Don’t play dumb with me. Fifty million naira is missing from the family’s general account. I checked the records — you withdrew it last week. What did you use that money for?” Cassandra’s hand froze halfway through her nail polish. Her heart skipped. “Fifty million?” she repeated slowly, pretending to be surprised. “Yes, Cassandra! Fifty million!” Nathaniel’s voice rose. “What did you do with it?” She gave a nervous laugh, trying to act calm. “Oh, that... I, um, I went shoppin

When they got back home that evening, the house was quiet at first. Savannah carried the baby carefully in her arms while Adrian held the door open for her. Everything felt peaceful — until Aunt Lisa’s voice echoed from the living room. “Ah, my children, you’re back!” she said, standing up from the couch. “Where did you two disappear to since morning?” Savannah smiled softly. “We just went out to relax a little.” Aunt Lisa’s sharp eyes went straight to Savannah’s hand. “Wait—wait a minute!” she gasped, pointing. “What is that on your finger?!” Savannah froze, her cheeks turning pink. Adrian tried to hide a smile, but it was too late. Aunt Lisa ran closer, her mouth wide open. “Is that… is that what I think it is?!” Savannah blushed, nodding shyly. “Yes, Auntie.” Aunt Lisa screamed in excitement. “Ahhh! Praise the Lord! He has finally done it!” She started clapping and shouting, drawing the attention of the maids. Within seconds, everyone rushed into the sitting room. “
