It was like the ground had been ripped from beneath Serena, her whole life crumbling away in a second. Mira, the one person she had trusted more than anyone else, the person she had shared her deepest fears with, was a traitor. Her former home was at war with her current home. A sense of resolve washed over Serena as she slowly rose to her feet. Her eyes didn’t waver as they landed on Dorian’s. No more hesitation, no space for doubt—do or die.

“We have to mobilize the pack,” she said, her voice even but firm, imbued with an authority she hadn’t entirely recognized she possessed. “Mira and Elias must not go unpunished. They’ve crossed a boundary. ” Her remarks were blunt, every word laced with an inward intensity.

She knew the stakes had escalated, and there was no going back. The betrayal had ignited something fierce within her, and she was ready to fight for the pack, for the people, and for the future currently at stake.

“I’ll gather the pack,” Dorian said with a solemn nod. His voice was laced with gravity and his face cast in worry. "But we must tread carefully. We will never know how many other traitors may be lurking among us. "

Dorian slipped out of the room without a word, but Serena's eyes did not leave Lucian's unmoving form on the bed. She covered her expression in worry, every beat of her heart a painful reminder of the uncertainty surrounding him. But as difficult as it was, she knew she couldn’t let herself falter.

She had to keep moving — no matter how heavy the moment weighed. Not just for Lucian, who was still laid out vulnerable before her and who was still, always, vulnerable before her, nor just for the pack, who needed her endurance to hold herself together. She was also in the pursuit for herself. The world was flipping around her, and the choices ahead of her would decide everything. She was no longer going to let fear or doubt hold her back. It was time for action.

Serena took a deep, steadying breath and stepped outside, feeling her resolve strengthen with every footfall. The world was heavy on her shoulders, but she was not going to let it destroy her. Each footstep echoed in the silent hallway, perfectly timed to her heartbeat. Now wasn’t a time she could afford to stop. She had no choice but to step up. She had to become the warrior her pack needed, someone recklessly strong enough to face the onslaught of the storm racing behind her.

As she made her way through the pack’s clearing, the somber faces of her pack mates greeted her. They huddled in small clusters and whispers of concern filtered through the air. Alpha Lucian remained unconscious and defensless, yes, but it was unclear what the pack's future would look like. The atmosphere was heavy with anxiety, the usual feeling of togetherness overshadowed by fear and uncertainty.

Serena approached them, her gaze steady, her eyes ablaze with fierce, resolute determination. She sensed the pressure of their expectations, but instead of faltering, she stood firmly, prepared to confront whatever lay ahead. She would ascend to their Luna, her voice would guide them now. There was no turning back.

" Members  of Night Fang, we have been betrayed!"  The pain could be felt in her voice. "People we thought we could trust have been working behind the scenes with Elias and the Silver Ridge Pack. "

The pack reacted instantly, a surge of murmuring and snarls erupted from every corner of the gathering, filling the air with tension. The anger and disbelief were evident as the members of the pack absorbed the shocking news. Serena felt the heat of their wrath, yet she remained steadfast. She lifted her hands, palms outward, a silent request for calm.

And then she said, very loudly and authoritatively, “Silence” — cutting through the chaos as if wielding a knife. But eventually the room grew quiet to a tense stillness, although the air still rang with the angry traces that could not easily subside.

And then, when the silence hung on, one of the pack elders — his skeptical face sculpted by the weather — stepped forward. His eyes were piercing and critical, and his voice drenched in challenge. "Who made you our Luna? “ he asked, his tone as sharp as a sword. “Who made you our leader?” You may have also Only wolf, but however does that however give you right in commanding us. You are neither the Alpha, nor are you our leader. " His gaze sharpened. The other elders did not say a word. They did not show it, even if they supported her.

Serena felt the sting of his words, but underneath the pain was a fierce resolve that refused to yield.

“I am neither your Alpha nor your Luna, but I can help the pack in this dire time,” Serena said. Silver Ridge used to be my home; I still know their weakness. "

“How can we be sure you won’t sell us out? “Are you serious?” one of the pack members asked.

“Night Fang is my home now, and you are all my people. When others hunted me like prey, you sheltered me. “ She was in tears as she spoke.

“We’ll figure out Mira and Elias,” she promised. “But first, we need to protect ourselves. We must be vigilant and prepared for whatever develops. "

The members of the pack all exchanged glances and nodded in agreement. Serena felt a strong wave of pride and determination within herself. She was ready—not just to help, but to lead. The pack’s future was at stake, and she wasn’t going to let it collapse.

She would fight for them. She would safeguard them. With all that was her strength, with all that was of her spirit, she would protect her pack from the dangers to come, dangers already appearing on the horizon. In that moment, Serena understood what it really meant to lead. It was not about titles or power; it was about responsibility, about standing firm in the face of whatever was to come. She had the will to fight, and in this moment, with the pack at her back, she knew that she had the strength to lead them through the storm.

The war came upon them and Serena was prepared to bring the full force of her rage on whoever stood in their way.

Lucian's body was stiff and aching when he opened his eyes. The little light that filtered through the barred window above him did little but render the stone walls of the cell feel colder, more oppressive. His head was spinning, and the details of the past few moments rushed back in — specifically the moments before Dorian fell. He had rushed towards Dorian in an attempt to rescue him when they seized him. Dorian had been his best friend and the best beta any Alpha could ever hope for. He was so helpless, he didn’t remember when they had strapped him in chains. He fought to sit up but felt the cold stone wall behind him and then noticed his hands were chained to it. Panic began to set in as his heart was pounding. He was captured. Just the thought of it made him wince. How had he let it get this far? He just hoped they didn’t infiltrate the pack.A gentle shuffling of foots

Serena lay cold and shivering on the ground as her mind buzzed in a fog of confusion and fear. The terrible pain in her head, like reality was pulling her in two directions. Her scream was still echoing, just the sound of her breath, shallow and frantic, as she struggled to bring herself back to a place of control.Lucian knelt down next to her, hand over her shoulder without touching. Anxiety was painted on there, and something in his eyes — fear, maybe, or worry — was something Möbil couldn’t quite identify.“Serena,” he said, his voice cracking. “Stay with me.”She was rolling onto her back and then sitting up, the world whirling around her, her head as heavy as a block of iron. The clearing was still, eerily so, as if it had been frozen for centuries. Scattered around were the battered bodies of the rogue wolves. It was too much power inside of her, threatening t

  • Torn Between Alphas   The Weight of Prophecy

It was still at the clearing, the eerie quietness creeping in like a thick fog after battle. Serena panted, her breath coming in quick gasps, her chest rising and falling as the adrenaline of the fight began to evaporate from her system. The rogue wolves were spread out over the ground: some were huddled in defeat, while others started to turn back into their human forms, moaning in pain. But now there was nothing left but deafening silence—broken only by the wind ruffling the trees and the distant hoot of an owl.Lucian stood next to her, breathing in deep, steady breaths. His stare didn't waver from Serena, breathing heavily as she surveyed the mayhem around her, heart racing, not from the exertion, but the chaos bubbling beneath the surface. A whirlpool of thoughts swirled her mind, her mother’s words ringing through her head.“You’re more like your father…You’ve changed." Iso

Serena’s heart raced against her ribs, her breath frozen in her throat. It was so surreal that her mind struggled to comprehend what stood before her. she couldn’t look away from. Herself, facing her now —Isolde. She looke so different yet so familiar, Isolde’s hair was wild, unkempt black curls, her eyes shining with sin and defiance. But something was off. Her mother was no longer the person she once knew. She looked like she was under a spell or something. And the Isolde in front of her now felt like a stranger.“ Mum?” Serena’s voice cracked. She was baffled at what was happening. She found out that the same woman, who came to her side all those years later, and elusive told a few truths in her favour, was turned against her.Isolde looked at her, and then she smiled, just a little, which might have been wistful. “You’ve changed… you’re m

  • Torn Between Alphas   Bound by the Onyx Moon

The air was cool, damp, like the familiar scent of pine and earth at night. The moon was low in the sky. Its gentle silver light spilled across the hillside clearing. The ceremony was complete. It was time for the pack members to return to their regular pattern of living. Serena stood behind Lucian, her hand still clutched firmly in his, and her heart pounding in her chest. What she saw in the ritual, she had never seen before. Then everything went much crazier, but somehow it was solid. It was that odd feeling she knew was still there in her head. The Onyx wolf which had once given her the impression of devouring and denying feeling was now, out of the blue, with her.“You alright? ” Lucian tilted back but there was an edge of concern in his voice that she could not brush off. Serena nodded although she still couldn’t quite dismiss that gnawing feeling deep in her gut.

  • Torn Between Alphas    A Crown of Doubt and Fire

The sun had only just begun to drop below the horizon, painting the clearing red. It was an ominous feeling, the gathering of the pack felt more like an impending storm than a celebration She was taking too long in the room as she wore a white gown, she was worried about what the elders would say. The sound of a knock on the door startled her out of her train of thought." Serena, it's time." Dorian went to the door and told her. She was going to be crowned the Luna of Night Fang pack. She was nervous, her mind racing a thousand thoughts a minute, pacing back and forth in her bedroom. Every thought collided with the one before it, the horrible ones blacker than the one before. The last time a ceremony was held for her, it had ended in disaster, the memories so fresh and painful in her mind. Everything had been broken in an instant: the aspirations, the anticipation, and what remained was nothing but complexity, sorrow, and a gr
