Chloe's POV.

The twins were asleep. For now.

They were snugly wrapped in my arms, and their warmth was deceptive—innocent. My chest was soothed by a coo that fell as my hand reached into the mouth, which was filled with saliva. The other trembled, his small fingers twitching like he was running through forest in the night.

The things I had done were unknown to them.

Not sure what I was planning to do next.

"Alright, then and there, I'm okay." The guard at the north post leaned over his shoulder to me as I approached with the twins swaddling against my body.

"Reya beckoned me to take them to the healer." I lied without breaking my stride, as she suspected I had a fever.

"He scowled. She never acknowledged it." (Laughter)

“She's barely sleeping. Overwhelmed. She instructed me to stay asleep, lowering my voice as if to divulge information. "You know what happens."

It earned a shout. "The gate cannot be opened until all is cleared."

I smiled. Not sweet. Not shy. The sort of look

  • Torn From The Bond    Price. Of Peace

Chapter 85: Price of Peace Reya’s POVThe dawn broke over Lunaris in a blaze of color—flags of Riverdale, the Lycan Kingdom, and our own unlapping stark white banner rising together. For a moment, I let the scene wash over me. The war was over. We had won.But I felt nothing. Instead of jubilation, there was a hollow ache in my chest where power and purpose had once burned bright. Alpha Tristan stood by my side, pride soft in his eyes, but his hand felt distant, weighted by the brand I carried, the cost of peace we had paid.Ceremony in the SquareCouncil members and ambassadors filled the courtyard. I stood at the center, twins beside me , Luis tall and solemn, Pearl smaller but strong.Alpha Tristan unrolled the decree.“By vote of Riverdale and the Lycan Kingdom, this court hereby recognizes Lunaris as sovereign and independent. Under Luna and Alpha Reya and shared heir this pack stands united.” The ambassadors applauded.Poofs of smoke signaled ceremonial victory…….echo cannon fi

  • Torn From The Bond    The Final Duel

Reya’s POVMoonlight sliced through shattered stone. This was my birth pack's ancient keep—walls broken, banners decayed. Bones whispered beneath the rubble. Dante chose this ground, knowing every memory here burned like ambered steel.I stepped forward, my blades drawn: one Luna-wrought silver, one Alpha-forged iron. Each pulse in my veins echoed with twins’ heartbeat, Alpha Tristan’s prayers, Sebastian’s sacrifice. The scent of dust and ash filled me. He stood at the center of the throne room—once opulent, now hollow. Crimson runes bled across his robes, eyes black coals of intent.“Mother returns,” he said. His voice hollow poetry. “Let us finish the circle.”He held a blade—dark, rune-slick, curved. I matched him step for step.Duel begins. Steel rang as we met. My silver caught his iron-black blade in sparks. He swung low; I leapt back, wind gusting through rubble. He smiled. “Sharper than before.”“I live sharper,” I hissed. He flicked iron—it sliced my arm. I hissed, thumb ble

  • Torn From The Bond    Shadowed Hearts

Reya’s POVWhispered RuinsThe Wastelands pressed against me like memory pressing through grief. No moon, no stars—just red haze and cracked earth. My pulse still thrummed with Dante’s magic, like a heartbeat under my skin. But this wasn't his power calling me here. It was mine. My rage. My triumph. The ghosts of every crime, every bond, every heartbreak.I’d killed Dante’s hope. But now I carried his darkness.Vision: TristanA gust of wind carried soft laughter. My throat constricted at the sound ---Alpha Tristan and Luis playing in the courtyard, blades training through laughter’s tension. The memory slammed me back to sanctuary, family, something I almost destroyed.I stumbled. The illusion cracked. Then his voice: “You don’t have to do this alone.”My throat shut.I blinked ---- Alpha Tristan’s face dissolved into the ash-laden sky.Echo of Lydia--Ash blew over me like mist. In it, Lydia appeared—beads of rain on her brow, a sharp smile.“You betrayed him, you know,” she whisper

  • Torn From The Bond    Into the Wastelands

Reya’s POVThe Bleak BorderThe mouth of the Wastelands yawned like an open wound against the horizon. No landmarks—no trees, no rivers, just endless gray dust and drifting embers. I inhaled the smoldering air, tasting ash on my tongue. It clung to my skin, to my blood, like a curse I welcomed.“No backup,” I whispered. My breath trembled in my throat, but I stepped forward anyway. Alpha Tristan’s voice still lingered: If I die, finish this—for them.I held their faces in my mind: Pearl’s silver gaze, Luis’s violet fire, Alpha Tristan’s tear-stained fear. Each footstep was a vow I carried for them.Step Into MadnessThere was no path—just wasteland and silence. My senses floated on the edge. I felt Dante’s blood magic seeping through the land, like venom pooling in the dirt. No stray creatures crawled here, but every ripple of air seemed tainted. The wind carried whispers—voices I recognized. Chloe’s mocking laugh. Lycan Xander’s rage. Lydia’s gentle chiding. Alpha Tristan’s plea.I s

  • Torn From The Bond    The Twin’s Choose

Reya’s POV The Calm After the StormThey say the quiet after war feels heavy. But here in Lunaris, silence was impossible—the twins had changed everything.I stood before the council circle at dawn, staring at Luis and Pearl. The red streak of the Blood Moon still stained the sky, its curse lingering like a ghost. The battlefield's carnage lay behind walls of ash and memory, but today, a new reckoning would begin.“Quiet,” I commanded. The crowd hushed, sensing something different, powerful in the air.Alpha Tristan stood at my side—worn, tear-stained, and unguarded. He watched the children as if he is seeing them for the first time.“I told you,” Sebastian’s voice echoed. He hovered near the altar, scarred and still. “They’ve inherited your mark.”Suspicions and whispers passed through the council: Alpha-soft? Luna-blood? But no one spoke until I raised my hand.“Watch.”Pearl stepped forward; little fists clenched. Her breath came slow, measured—as if she were preparing for a storm

  • Torn From The Bond    Death Of A Brother

Sebastian’s POVThe sky bleeds. The Blood Moon hangs like a curse, full and red and humming with the promise of war. The air crackles. Lunaris is no longer silent. It thrums with howls, metal, and the scent of ash.I see the battlefield laid bare before me like a nightmare uncoiling. Dante’s forces flood the valley—feral wolves with hollow eyes, twisted by blood magic, their snarls inhuman. Undead. Cursed. This is no army. It’s death itself. And Reya? She stands at the front, hair wild, her eyes glowing with golden fire. Her voice carries power now—actual, bone-shattering, spirit-flaying power. When she speaks, wolves drop. When she screams, the cursed split apart mid-air.But even she cannot hold the line alone.“Hold formation!” I shout, slicing through two rogues that lunge at me. Blood coats my arms. My wolf claws just under the surface, but I can’t shift. Not yet. Not while strategy still matters more than brute strength.Alpha Tristan is beside me, a whirlwind of silver and fury
