“Great, in your arms,” I teased, stirring sweetener packets into my coffee. Now that I had some blood in my system, my stomach had settled down a bit and the coffee smelled heavenly.

Lance smiled, taking another drink of his coffee. “How are you feeling?”

“Fine, I think.” I placed a hand on my stomach. It felt tight and a little bigger, but fine. “My appointment with Dr. Ryan is today, so I’ll see what’s going on.” I took another sip of my coffee, and then added, “I’m also going to talk to her about the sunlight serum. I’ll need to use her lab.”

Lance shook his head. “I don’t want you to go back to work until after the baby is born. You’re not going to feel up to it.”
