Trading My Yoga‑Mad Wife for a New Life
Rebirth in Spring

Chapter 1

Rebirth in Spring
Ava Lane frowned down at her trembling legs in their yoga pants. She said carelessly, "This is a normal reaction from doing too much yoga. Aren't you supposed to be a professional trainer? Don't you even know that?"

She put on an angry look and turned to my parents to complain again. "Mom, Dad, I'm telling you. He's definitely got someone on the side. Why else would he keep picking fights with me?"

I let out a cold laugh and pulled my daughter, Daisy Statham, into my arms. She was still sobbing. I wanted to calm her down first before talking to Ava about getting a divorce, but Ava suddenly rushed over and slapped me across the face before I could even say anything.

The burning sting on my cheek made it crystal clear what had just happened. I shot Ava an icy look, but she still wore that cocky, superior expression.

"That slap was to teach you a lesson. See if you dare mess around behind my back again!" she snapped.

My silence, in her eyes, was compromise. She lifted her chin and went on, "I'm not an unreasonable person. Turn your gym into a yoga studio and give it to me. I'll forgive you then."

I felt my heart freeze over when I saw how entitled she was.

Mom and Dad both frowned at me. Mom tried to persuade me gently, saying, "Jordan, don't be so stubborn. Just do what Ava wants. Or do you really want your family to fall apart?"

Ava's eyes filled with smug arrogance when she saw Mom take her side.

Still, I shook my head, remaining steadfast. "I want a divorce."

Dad kicked me hard and jabbed a finger in my face, yelling, "Why are you so damn stubborn, you brat? You've been married for five years! Has Ava ever done wrong by you all this while?"

He wasn't wrong. For five years, Ava and I had been the model loving couple. Once she decided on something, I would never object. That was why I'd agreed without hesitation when she said she wanted to do yoga.

But I never imagined that yoga would become the catalyst that completely destroyed our marriage.

I cut off Mom's attempts to smooth things over and spoke with unwavering resolve, "Don't bother trying to talk me out of it. I'm getting this divorce!"

Ava burst into loud, dramatic sobs before the words had even fully left my mouth. I was afraid she would scare Daisy, so I held Daisy close and walked out.

I didn't expect Ava to chase after us. Her yoga outfit hugged every curve, and her hourglass figure drew every pair of eyes in the neighborhood.

"Jordan Statham, you're a heartless jerk! I stuck with you when you had nothing, and I'm still here now! Now, you want to divorce me for some other woman!" she wailed. "If you don't like me doing yoga, I can quit. Let's not get divorced, okay?"

The neighbors started giving me hostile looks when they saw her humbling herself like so. Someone spoke up on her behalf.

"This guy's really something else. He still wants a divorce when he has such a wonderful wife."

Someone else went even further. He whistled at Ava and gave her a flirty look. "Hey, gorgeous, that body's amazing. Once you dump him, be with me instead."

The words were barely out of his mouth when a man rushed over and shoved him hard to the ground. "Run your mouth again, and I'll cut your tongue out!"

I looked at Neal Anderson's angry face and sneered inwardly. I'd yet to even say anything, and he was already furious. He truly was my ride-or-die buddy… or so it seemed.

He walked over to me, still scowling, and started trying to talk me down. "Jordan, you love Ava so much. Can you really bear to leave her?"

Love? Ava didn't deserve my love.

Neal glanced at Daisy in my arms and went on, "Sure, you own a gym, but it barely makes any money. Plus, you've got a daughter. Will any other woman marry you after the divorce? Besides, Ava already said she'll stop doing yoga. Don't be so stubborn."

I didn't respond. I just took a deep breath and forced my anger back down.

Ava lifted her chin and shot me a sideways glare, like she was waiting for me to apologize. I ignored her completely and hurried off, holding Daisy close.

I saw the trending news pop up on my phone and immediately turned to look at Ava, who was already hoarse from talking. She'd stuffed her phone in her pocket so I wouldn't notice she was live-streaming. Right now, the comments were full of people mocking her for thinking she was a big deal, but she couldn't see any of it.Just as she was about to keep talking, I cut in, "End your live stream."Her voice cut off at once. "How did you know?"I didn't answer. I just gave her a hard look. She pulled her phone in a panic. The second she saw the comments, she had a meltdown. But somehow, she pushed all the blame onto me."This is all your fault, Jordan. If it weren't for you, I never would've ended up like this!" she cried.I frowned at her refusal to accept reality. "You did this to yourself. Don't you dare start spreading lies about me."Ava shot me a furious look, then stormed out.I had no idea where she went, but my gym suddenly blew up online because of that live stream. It tur

I thought Ava would keep pestering me, but a whole week went by without a word from her.I was more than happy to be left alone. I used the time to buy new equipment for the gym and reopen for business. I also explained to my members what had really happened that day when Yvette caused a scene at the gym. Some of them chose to trust my character and kept coming. But I still lost a lot of clients.I was racking my brains over how to win them back when a buddy of mine showed up. He asked, "What are you doing here?"I frowned in confusion. "What's that supposed to mean?""Ava's getting torn apart online. You didn't know?"I shook my head. "I've already filed for divorce. I'm not keeping up with her anymore."He perked right up when he heard that. "It's about that whole thing between you two—how you exposed her cheating during the live stream."I nodded, looking like I couldn't care less. He, on the other hand, was into the gossip and kept going, "Does she not know what you did or

Neal looked at me in confusion when he heard my words. "So-called good friend? Of course we're good friends, Jordan. Why else would I be trying to salvage the situation for you?"I sneered and shot him an icy look, no longer wanting to spare him the humiliation. "Of course we're good friends. Why else would you have been kind enough to 'care' for my wife? No, ex-wife."Neal's smile froze on his face, clearly not expecting me to rip off his mask with Dad right there. His lips curled into a grimace, and he played dumb. "What do you mean by that?"A cold glint flickered in my eyes. I threatened, "Do you want me to show Dad the photos of you and Ava?"Neal's family had never been well-off. Starting from elementary school, he'd basically lived at our place. My parents felt sorry for him when they saw how scrawny and underfed he looked, so they gave him all the good things we could afford. And yet, he had the nerve to go after my wife behind my back. That really was a spit on my parents

I took Daisy to my parents' place, but they were totally against it."What do you mean by leaving Daisy here with us? There's no way I'll agree to you divorcing Ava!" Mom hissed.Dad chimed in, "Life was going just fine. Why did you have to stir up trouble and make everyone miserable?"Their health hadn't been great for some time. I was terrified that if they found out what Ava had done, they would get so worked up it would make them sick. That was why I'd decided to keep it from them."My business with Ava is between the two of us. You don't have to get involved. Just help me take care of Daisy," I said.Mom shot me a fierce glare. "You already had Yvette hauled off to the police station. How are we supposed to stay out of this?"I looked at her in surprise, not expecting her and Dad to already know about this.Maybe she could see how dumbfounded I looked, because she let out a cold snort. "Ava already told us everything. What you did was really over the line, so you're going t

"No way! So, Ava is the real cheater here?" someone commented."This is the sort of yoga she's been practicing? No wonder her videos have gotten sexier and sexier. Turns out she's been doing partner yoga with another man!"The entire WhatsApp chat log was filled with photos from that account with the blank profile picture. Every single one of them showed Ava and Neal. They were doing partner yoga, but the poses were so intimate they were straight-up suggestive. Not only were their lower bodies pressed tightly together, but there were also poses where one person's face was level with the other's crotch. The moment I'd received these photos back then, I'd gone straight to Ava to confront her. She'd brushed me off. "That's just how partner yoga works. Can you stop being unreasonable? And you're a personal trainer. You touch your female clients all the time, too."I'd trembled with anger at how shameless she'd been and explained that what I did was normal, professional contact. She'd

The viewers heard what I said and immediately pushed back."What's that scumbag talking about? We're telling him to go to hell!""Exactly! And how dare he talk back to Ava like that? He's shameless!"What they couldn't see off-camera was that Ava's face had turned ashen.Watching her expression change so drastically only made me find the whole thing hilarious. So, she did know what exactly she'd done."Darlings, something just came up. I've got to end the live stream for now!" Panicking, Ava hurried to say goodbye to the viewers in her live stream and instinctively reached to end it.I didn't give her the chance. I grabbed the phone right out of her hand and asked coolly, "What's the rush? I'm not done talking yet."Ignoring the panic on her face, I glanced at the viewer count in the live stream. There were already over ten thousand people watching.I couldn't help taking a look at her profile page, too. She already had more than 200 thousand followers. All her posts were close
