"She just needs to eat, she will be fine," the doctor said checking his wristwatch and then her pulse.

My heart had skipped a beat when I saw her face darken as she got up from my lap, I had watched men die before my eyes but the sight of Selena like that terrified me and I wasn't sure I wanted to witness that moment again even though it had occurred within a split second.

"Do you have any medication to induce eating?" I asked the doctor. If she wasn't planning on eating my food, I might as well make her want to eat it. I didn't understand her stubbornness and desire to cause harm to herself by starving.
