Chapter 17. I Swear

"Shada! Oh my!" Ruth shrieked in the distance.

Ruth immediately ran over to Shada. She quickly helped Shada up, and then took her to the restroom. Before leaving, Ruth's sharp eyes darted towards Jennifer. Jennifer was silent. After Ruth's eyes turned away, she gave a faint smile.

Feel it, Shada! That's just the beginning. Her mind was filled with triumph.

Ruth walked quickly to lead Shada to the toilet. Shada was silent and her face was deathly pale. She was traumatized by the redness of her skin and the throbbing pain that burned most of her hands.
