I had no idea Carla was around.

Anger surged through my veins as I saw her in the living room. She looked like she had spent the night at the house.

“Can you make me breakfast?” She asked as she saw me walk past the living room.

I rolled my eyes as I stared at her. I wanted to ask what she was doing at the house, but I had a lot more going on and didn’t have the time to interact with her.

I ignored her and continued walking.

“Didn’t you hear me?” She asked and I stopped in my tracks.

“Do I look like your maid?” I asked, glaring at her. “What are you even doing here? Aren’t you done with what you came here to do?”

I knew my second statement was really condescending but she deserved it. She knew damn well I wasn’t a chef or a maid, but she still asked me to make her breakfast.

She should have taken a hint when I ignored her the first time, but she didn’t. Carla still went ahead to ask if I didn’t hear her.
