Anta was taken aback by Laras’s question, his brows knitting slightly as he looked at her. Laras, instead, smiled at the surprised expression on Anta’s face, signaling that she was serious about wanting to talk to him.

Eventually, the two of them sat together on one of the sofas in the corner of the café.

“What do you want to talk about? I don’t have much time,” Anta said as he crossed his arms over his chest, even turning his face away, clearly unwilling to talk to Laras.

“I want to apologize,” Laras said while looking at Anta.

Once again, Anta was surprised and now looked directly at her.

“What did you even do wrong that you feel the need to apologize?” A

  • Trapped in My Ex's Love   The Problem Is Resolved

“Was it really Orion who did it?” Langit turned to Bintang. Since earlier, they had been sitting in silence after Bintang openly declared her anger at him. At first, she had been unable to speak because of the shock. However, once she found out that Langit was no longer going to marry Cheryl, an unexpected sense of relief arose, allowing her to finally vent her anger at him. “What do you think? Orion isn’t that despicable,” Bintang replied curtly. “Hm … that’s true. But then why did he admit to doing that to Cheryl?” Langit asked again. Bintang and Langit were sitting on the stretch of sand, both gazing at the rolling waves crashing against the shore as they talked. Bintang turned her head at Langit’s question. “What do you think?” she shot back, making Langit frown. “Because of you?” Langit guessed. “Of course it’s because of me. If not because of me, then because of you?” Bintang scooped up some sand and tossed it forward, though her gaze remained fixed on Langit. Langit was

  • Trapped in My Ex's Love   The Wedding Is Canceled

Bintang looked at Orion, who was sitting in the same car as her, while their parents were in a different vehicle. That day, their family was heading to Cheryl’s house to propose. Regardless of whether Orion had truly done it or not, Arlan and Annetha chose to follow Orion’s wishes, even though Arlan strongly objected, as Orion was still in college and would be marrying a woman older than him. “Ion, are you sure about everything you’re doing?” Bintang asked to make sure. She simply did not want her brother to regret it later. Bintang gazed at her younger brother with sorrow, wondering why everything had to end like this. She was absolutely certain that none of this was Orion’s doing, even though he kept convincing her otherwise. “Of course I’m sure, Bin. Isn’t it a man’s duty to take responsibility for what he’s done? If I chose to stay silent, I’d be considered a coward,” Orion said as he turned to his sister. He gave her a gentle smile, as if what he was about to do was entirely h

  • Trapped in My Ex's Love   Still Angry

“I’m sorry, Bin. I truly never wanted to hurt you,” Langit said with deep regret. He was still holding Bintang, and her illness almost relapsed if he had not quickly urged his lover to take her medicine. Bintang was still in shock. She remained silent with her eyes closed, resting her head against Langit’s chest, feeling as though everything that had happened was nothing more than a dream. She wished that when she opened her eyes, everything she had just experienced would vanish as if it had never happened. However, that was only her wish. In reality, it was not a dream, it was a reality that felt like a nightmare to her. Bintang took a deep breath and slowly exhaled after the tightness pressed heavily against her chest. What woman could watch her lover marry another woman? Even if the reason was to help and protect someone’s reputation, it would still hurt deeply. “Only until Cheryl’s baby is born, Bin. After that, I’ll divorce her and propose to you,” Langit said again, since Bin

  • Trapped in My Ex's Love   Hurting Bintang’s Heart

Langit sat silently inside his car. He leaned his head back slightly, gazing up at the ceiling of the cabin. Both of his hands gripped the steering wheel tightly as his mind replayed the decision he had made after talking with Cheryl and their parents. A knock sounded on the car window, pulling Langit out of his thoughts. He looked outside and saw Bintang already standing there, smiling at him. Langit had indeed come to Bintang’s workplace to pick her up, as he usually did. He forced a smile before opening the door for his girlfriend. “Have you been waiting long?” Bintang asked as soon as she got in and fastened her seat belt. “Not really,” Langit replied with a strained smile. Seeing Bintang’s smile made guilt creep into his chest. Bintang watched Langit as he started the car. She sensed something different in his expression. She kept observing him, noticing how he suddenly became quiet, until she finally gathered the courage to ask. “El, is something wrong? Did something happe

  • Trapped in My Ex's Love   Accused of Getting Her Pregnant

“El, be honest. Didn’t Cheryl stay over at your place that night? Did you do it? Cheryl is pregnant now, are you the father of the baby?” The question came from Lusy—Cheryl’s biological mother—which instantly shocked Langit and his parents. They had been asked to come because Cheryl was pregnant, but Langit did not understand why he was being accused of getting her pregnant. “What is this, Lusy?” Joya asked, truly stunned by the accusation her best friend had thrown at her son. She knew Langit had behaved poorly in the past, sleeping with many women, but Joya was certain that Langit would never sleep with his own adoptive sister. Langit was utterly shocked as he looked at Cheryl, who was also confused by her mother’s accusation toward her adoptive brother. Langit remembered the day Cheryl had asked him to lie and say that she stayed over at his place. Could his suspicion be true, that something had really happened to Cheryl that night? “Mom, it’s not Langit. Please, don’t do this,

  • Trapped in My Ex's Love   A Perfect Day

“Why did you bring me here, hm?” Bintang could not believe that Langit had brought her to his apartment. She looked at Langit, who had just finished parking the car. Langit curved his lips into a smile, glanced at Bintang, then unfastened his seat belt. “It’s fine once in a while. Besides, no one would forbid you from coming to my place, right?” Langit leaned slightly toward Bintang as he spoke, before opening the door and getting out of the car. Bintang could only shake her head at Langit’s behavior, then got out as well, knowing it would be impossible for her to refuse his invitation. Langit extended his hand, then held Bintang’s hand and led her toward the elevator. Their relationship grew more harmonious with each passing day, as if there were no longer any problems approaching them after they were honest about their feelings for each other. Langit opened the door to his apartment wide and invited Bintang inside before closing it again. He followed her in, gazing at Bintang’s
