Althea gasped, her hands instinctively pressing against his chest to steady herself. Gavriel’s eyes darkened as they locked on hers. His lips brushed her ear, the rough command vibrating through her. “Ride me.”

Gavriel’s grip on her hips tightened, holding her exactly where he wanted. Althea’s breath hitched, her chest brushing against his as he pulled her closer still. Her hands pressed against him, trembling, but his strength made resistance useless.

“You test me, Althea,” he murmured, his lips trailing from her cheek down to her jaw. Each brush of his mouth sent a shiver racing down her spine. “You think you can sway me with this bond?” His teeth grazed her skin, rough enough to make her gasp. “Then sway me.”

Her pulse pounded in her ears. “Gavriel…” she whispered, the word breaking apart on her lips, uncertain and fragile. The Alpha King would be the end of her. He was fire and ice all at once, leaving her shaken and confused.

She tried to reason with herself, to remember that Ga

“So you’re saying I’m not treating you right, Althea?” Gavriel’s voice dropped, calm yet sharp. His brows collided, eyes narrowing at her as if daring her to say another word.“Oh, she’s just drunk, Your Highness,” Luna Ruth quickly interjected, her voice slightly trembling when Gavriel’s cold stare shifted to them. His face was dark, unreadable.Althea only grinned and lifted her finger toward him. “Look, look! He always wears the same expression! I can’t tell if he’s angry or just… brooding. Always serious. No wonder he looks older than his age.”Gasps filled the air. But Althea wasn’t done. She leaned forward, cupped his face with both hands, and added with a teasing tone, “The Alpha King… so ruthless! You don’t even let me breathe. Let me stay here for a while—I actually feel at ease with nice people around me.”Then she hiccuped, ruining her boldness in an instant.Gavriel stood, jaw tight. “We’re leaving,” he said curtly, gripping her wrist and pulling her up from the chair.“Bu

Gavriel oversaw the rebuilding of Azath Town, making sure his people were provided with everything they needed.“I want the reconstruction finished before the end of the season,” he instructed his men, his tone leaving no room for delay. When the last order was given, he mounted his horse and began the slow ride back toward Reed Manor as the sun dipped below the horizon. He passed through the workers, his sharp gaze taking in every effort and flaw, when Simon’s horse emerged beside his.“Alpha, it’s done,” Simon reported. “News is already spreading, Lady Althea is not Cain’s daughter. We made sure the details supporting it are reaching every corner.”“Good.” Gavriel’s voice was calm, almost too calm. “And this man… Amon. Did we uncover anything about him?”Simon scratched at the back of his head. “Alpha, you only ordered us this morning. Our men are still tracking. It would be easier if we had a sketch. There are too many Amon in the kingdom.”“I told you, he performs magic,” Gavriel

  • Trapped with the Alpha King   Chapter 108: Still A Pawn

Still A PawnAlthea sat with Melva on a makeshift bench, quietly watching the steady stream of people moving in and out of the manor. Pack members worked tirelessly, handing out relief goods to those who came for help. She had tried several times to stand and lend a hand, but each attempt ended the same. A pack member would immediately rush to her side, guiding her back to a chair with polite firmness. They would offer her fruits, remind her she needed to rest, and insist that she focus on recovering. In the end, Althea gave up. It felt as if the entire Nightwalker Pack had silently agreed that she must not lift a finger.“My Lady,” one of them had told her earlier, “if you wish to move around, you may walk and enjoy the serenity of the manor grounds. And if the Alpha King permits, we will gladly tour you through the whole pack territory.”The words had been repeated to her often enough that they almost sounded rehearsed. With a small sigh, she popped another slice of apple into her m

  • Trapped with the Alpha King   The Unweaving

At West Palace, Royal Estate, Capital City“What’s going on? Why is she like this?” Queen Mother Wilma snapped, staring down at her daughter Riela, who was now unconscious on her bed. She had been fine yesterday, and now it was nearly nighttime, and she still hadn’t woken up since morning. They tried waking her up but she remained unconscious. “Maybe it’s a side effect from that traitor’s daughter,” Ava suggested, frowning.Wilma’s face darkened just at the mention about Cain’s daughter. Her blood was boiling but she chose not to comment and instead turned to Nilda.“Tell me what’s wrong with my child,” Wilma demanded of Nilda, Riela’s personal healer.Nilda bowed her head. “I don’t know, Your Highness. She was well yesterday, then she said she felt tired and went to sleep. She complained that something felt heavy in her body.”“I checked her.” Nilda chose her words carefully. “Her vitals are normal, Your Highness. But there are some remnants on her skin I can’t explain.”“I’m certa

  • Trapped with the Alpha King   A Diversion

Gavriel stood at a distance, silently watching the scene unfold. He had rushed out earlier after cleaning Althea, knowing that if he lingered any longer, he would lose control and claim her again. Days without touching her had left him like a starving beast, and with Althea, restraint was always slipping through his fingers. The mate bond between them was fierce, almost unbearable at times. His jaw tightened as he saw her smiling sweetly at Abner. He knew well enough that Abner harbored no ill intent—he only regarded Althea as a daughter. Abner was a good man, one of the few Alphas loyal to him and his family. Still, the sight made Gavriel’s face darken. When a little boy suddenly flung his arms around her, Gavriel couldn’t hold back a low growl.“That brat,” he muttered under his breath.A soft chuckle sounded beside him. “Look at you, getting jealous over a child,” Uriel teased.Gavriel shot him a glare. “We’re not that close, so back off,” he grunted. His words were sharp, but th

  • Trapped with the Alpha King   Their Savior

As soon as Gavriel finished cleaning her, he washed up quickly, dressed in haste, and left the chamber. Althea watched him move with sharp, deliberate speed, as if he wanted to get away from her fast enough. The sudden change confused her. Just moments ago, he had acted like he wanted nothing more than to keep her trapped in the bedchamber, making love to her endlessly. With a small shrug, Althea pulled on a robe. The door opened just after Gavriel left, and Melva slipped inside, followed by the wolf. The creature padded across the floor, circled once, then settled comfortably near the corner. Its golden eyes lingered on Althea and Melva for a moment before it closed them, dozing off with a quiet sigh.“I’ll help you get ready, My Lady,” Melva said with a teasing smile.Althea only nodded, letting her assist. When Melva removed her robe, she gasped softly. “Look at these marks. My goodness.”“Melva,” Althea muttered with a half-hearted complaint.“He was in such a hurry,” Melva conti
