Chapter 15

The ride back home was silent. I pondered about the moonstone as I ran my fingers through the fur on my hands which were slowly spreading to my shoulder and then my chest. Lizzy would glance at me and then speed up when she saw how thick my fur was getting. I looked at myself from the rearview mirror. I had started to grow ears at the top of my head and my nose was turning into a snout. My canines were growing long and sharp and my mouth was too small for it so it pierced my jaw. I had to keep my mouth open for the rest of the journey.

By the time we got back, the lower half of my body was covered in fur and I had started to howl.

Immediately Lizzy parks the car, I get out of the car and run back to the house. For a moment, I thought I'd get lost but the more turns I take, the closer the house gets. As I run, I notice the fur on my hands disappear and my voice returns to normal. All the other unusually large parts of me also return to normal. She was right about the moonstone.
