Five years later…
San Francisco Airport…
A woman stepped out of the plane majestically. She wore a beautiful suit and her long brown hair was swept back to frame her face perfectly. Her lips were painted a dazzling red, with just a hint of pink at her chin to offset the contrast. She carried herself gracefully, her movements flowing with ease despite her elegant attire.
She had sunglasses on and exuded an air of authority as she made her way towards baggage claim. Once there, she took off her shades to glance around her with an air of superiority. She spotted a man in an expensive suit and walked up to him, greeting him by holding out one hand politely.
“Mr. Brown!” She smiled and they shook hands.
“Welcome back to San Francisco. How have you been?” He asked.
“I'm good, sir. Just one moment, I need to introduce you to my kids.” She smiled and pulled down her sunglasses, so he could see that she meant it with every fiber of her being.
“Mummy!” The triplets shouted at the same time as they ran to meet her.
Mr. Brown gushed at how cute the triplets were. They were two girls and a boy, and it was hard to tell their differences since they were wearing identical outfits. “Oh my goodness! What are your names?”
He laughed as they grabbed his hand in excitement.
“My name is Jenna,” The girl declared proudly, and this is “Elena and Jaden.”
“Awn, you're cute.” He complimented as they giggled and ran around him.
“Kids! What did I tell you about running?” She folded her arms.
They stopped abruptly. “Sorry, mum!” They said in unison and approached them.
“Kids, this is the Uncle Brown I've always told you about,” She announced.
“The one you said always buys us chocolates and would come visit soon?” Elena, the smartest of the triplets, said.
She nodded and they hugged him. He pecked their cheeks. “They're so adorable.”
Mr. Brown was the man who helped her get back to herself after the whole pregnancy scenario. He was her therapist and played a major role in her recovery and healing process. He wasn't very talkative or very expressive, but he was a great person and his heart was pure and good.
He wasn't able to see her kids since he returned to San Diego before she delivered, but she would forever remember his help.
Mr. Brown spent some time with the kids until Amber claimed her baggage before he left them, saying he was waiting for someone. They bade goodbye, and he pecked the kids before leaving again.
Amber looked up and saw someone holding a board with her name on it. “Let's go, kids.” She said as they headed to the place. Her eyes widened when she saw that Sophia was the one holding the board. Immediately Sophia saw her, she ran and engulfed her in a hug.
“I missed you so much,” She yelled with tears rolling down her cheeks.
“I missed you more.” Amber pecked her hair.
Sophia pulled away from the hug and faced the kids.
“Oh my gosh!” She hugged the triplets. “You all look even cuter in person. Do you remember me?” She asked.
“Yes, you're Aunty Sophia; the lady we always video call with.” Elena replied.
“Awn, aren't you smart.” She pecked her.
Sophia hugged Amber again. “Let's go home. Your new apartment is ready!”
“Damn, you're the best!” Amber exclaimed as they went to her car.

“That's not going to happen, mum. You can't continue setting up blind dates for me.” Xavier facepalmed.
“I will continue to do that because you have refused to get married. Xavier, you're fucking 30 years old, what else are you waiting for?” Mrs. De Vil snapped.
“I'll marry when I find the woman my heart yearns for.” He answered.
“This is the same excuse you've been giving me and your dad for 5 years now. You're our only son. Do you want us to die without grandchildren?” She asked.
“Mum, calm down. I promise you that I'll get married, but not now.”
“When I'm dead?” She burst into tears, knowing that was his weakness.
“Mum, stop. You know I don't like this.” He hugged her.
“Xavier, I love and want the best for you. I want you to get married and have children. I want to hold my grandchildren in my arms.” She whined.
“I'll get married soon, mum.” He cooed.
“I give you until the end of this month to show me the woman you wish to get married to. If that doesn't happen, then I'm giving you a wife myself.” She snapped and stormed out.
Xavier wondered if this was the same woman who was crying a few seconds ago. He sighed and took his phone, then placed a call.
“Any news?” He asked immediately the call went through.
“None yet, boss.” The answer came.
He sighed and hung up. He ruffled his hair, frustratingly. “Where are you?”

It was night and Amber had successfully tucked the kids to bed. She was happy to be back in San Francisco after being away in Canada. Sophia had gisted her about plenty of things, and she was glad to be back with her adorable babies.
Her phone beeped and she picked it up. She screamed when she opened her email and saw a letter from the company. She had applied for the position of a Personal Assistant. She had been accepted and was asked to come to work the next day.
Since she intended to return to San Francisco, she applied for a job in one of the largest companies here, THE DE VIL ENTERPRISES and did her interview through Skype since she was away, and now she had gotten the job. She couldn't contain her joy and sent a text message to Sophia immediately, telling her the good news.
The next morning, she dropped the children with Sophia and rushed to the company. They also sent her another mail that before she starts work that morning, they would have to check her and see if the information she gave them was authentic before she starts.
Amber admired the company as she got in, taking in everything.
“No wonder their pay was juicy.” She muttered to herself.
With her salary, she could pay bills, pay her children's fees, stock the house with groceries, do other things and still have little to save. That alone gladdened her heart as she made her way to the office.
After she got cleared, she was taken to the CEO's office and was asked to wait. They told her he was in a meeting and would be back soon.
She looked around the office and smiled. Things were really working in her favor. There were two tables in the office, the first one was the CEO's and the second one was probably for her.
“Mr. Xavier De Vil.” She smiled as she called the name written on a card placed on the desk.
A few minutes later, the door opened and Xavier entered.
“You must be the new Personal Assistant?” He asked the moment he saw her.
Amber turned with a smile. “Yes, Sir…” Her voice stopped in her throat when she recognized who she was standing with.
She blinked and stepped back. “No, it can't be,” She was horrified as she stared into the mesmerizing eyes of that stranger she had a one-night stand with. It was him. From his dressing, you would know he was the CEO of that company.
Realization dawned on her.
She was going to be his Personal Assistant!
Her past was back to haunt her.
The next stop was Blessed Orphanage. Xavier knew the children must have missed him,he missed them too. He didn't really understand why he had fallen in love with kids so much. Maybe it was because he ended up being the only child after his younger sister died at four. He became sad immediately he remembered and Amber who was also sitting at the back seat noticed when his countenance changed. Amber wondered what Xavier would be thinking that got him looking really sad.She wasn't really comfortable whenever he looked this way and decided to ask. "Is something wrong Xavier?", Amber asked softly as she touched his arm. When he looked at her Amber was shocked to see tears in his house. She didn't even realize what she was doing until she did it. Guess it was an impulse because she hugged him. "It's okay",She cooed softly. Xavier rested more in the embrace. His tears spilled
Xavier got to work really early and few minutes later Amber came in."Good morning sir",Amber said smiling sweetly at Xavier who couldn't help himself but smiled back.'`Good morning Amber, truat you had a goodnight rest?''Xavier said and asked."Yes sir,I did", Amber replied. Amber had seriously been wondering when she woke up this morning preparing her children for school how today was going to be like in the office with Xavier because of that dinner night. She ended up early in the office and that happened because Mrs Jones helped to take the children to school. She really was a lifesaver. "What's our schedule going to be like today sir?",Amber asked as she carried her notepad to jot down all he wanted to say. "Okay firstly we are going to your kids school -",He was about to continue when he got stopped by Amber's wide eyed que
"Mum!"Elena screamed as she swung higher up in the sky. They were all at a children's park. Amber felt the kids had been held up at home far too long and decided to let them have fun. She was smiling at them as they were playing and interacting so well with other children. She decided to get some ice cream for her children. While she was buying if from a nearby stand a tinted black car drove in and some men in black came down. Immediately Amber turned to go give her children the ice creams, she turned white when she saw that the men had entered the park and were moving around. She got so scared she didn't even realize that she had dropped the ice cream cones and was running down to her children. "Jaden!Jenna!Elena!,come here quick!"She was practically screaming and the children were even shocked and ran to their mum immediately wondering what was wrong. She hugged them very close immediately they got to choking them. She was indeed behaving like a mother hen prote
"How could you Charlotte?!",Mrs O'Neill was practically shouting her brains out. The video had gone viral by now and her parents had even gotten to know about it. Charlotte was almost in tears now.she had practically rushed back home so she could do something about the video or call one editor she knew and hacker only to meet her mum mad as hell. "Mum I just got mad because I saw that stupid girl with Xavier", Charlotte said practically sobbing now."Is that why you had to act inappropriately now of all times?"Mrs O'Neill asked, giving her daughter an absurd look. She didn't understand this girl most of the time. She acted like a child throwing tantrums and it got her wondering if she pampered her way too much and had gotten the parental guide all wrong. "Mum, I am sorry", Charlotte said and another part of her was just plotting out a possible revenge on Amber
Charlotte had been so excited about prom and was even more excited because of who her date was. It was no other person than Xavier, in fact, she thought she was going to be dateless because no one had dared to ask her out. She was really beautiful and being beautiful wasn't the reason why no one had asked her out,the boys were all just too scared of her. That's all.She really didn't know the reason why though but she believed it had been because of Xavier. Everyone knew they were best friends and their parents were really close so she believed she boys just assumed that maybe they were dating. Charlotte sighed, because she on the other hand never tried to correct them off that mindset because she had always had a crush on Xavier and had thought or should she say believed that Xavier also would have the same feelings also towards her. This was the very reason she got overly excited when Xavier had asked her out and he also had come to take her from her house to the prom. T
Xavier woke up feeling very happy and he knew that today was going to be a great day. He could already feel it. He had been in his parents house and he was happy that he hadn't been hearing anything about marriage or Charlotte from there lately. It was as though they are just trying their best to keep the end of their bargain. He sighed and told himself to let not to let such thoughts leave so they don't end up spoiling his good day. Xavier went downstairs and was surprised that everywhere was bustling with activities, it got him wondering what the occasion was for because no one had told him about any event happening in their house. He knew it had to be his mum's preparations ; he just had to look for her to get updated on what was happening. He started going around searching for her and when he was sure that she wasn't in the house he stepped outside to look for her. He saw her in the garden instructing people how to gather some roses into the vases laid out on
