19. MY WOMAN

Benhail sent a text to Emery to meet him at the same restaurant they had met before she moved into his house.

He glanced at his wristwatch for the umpteenth time, it was past thirty minutes and she still hadn't shown up, he called her again but her line was off.

Benhail was worried, so he called Agnes to confirm if Emery left the house. He just dropped the call when he saw her at the entrance, she was straining her eyes in search of him, he waved his hand, she saw him and sauntered towards him.

"Hey," she gripped her coat tighter and set her purse on the table. Dragging out the chair, she sat on it and smiled at Benhail. "I left my phone at home."

He nodded his head, "Did the chauffeur bring you here?" He admired her hair which was neatly packed in a bun. There was light makeup on her face, he smiled as he remembered the last time he complained about her looking too plain. He was impressed she put in more effort to look good for him, and only him.
