83. THE WEDDING

Some months later, Emery was dressed in a white chemise, standing in front of the full-length mirror. She stared into the mirror with tears in her eyes.

"We will be late if you continue to cry." Amery hugged her from the back, handing her a small handkerchief to wipe away the tears that stained her cheeks.

"I can't believe I am getting married today," Emery gently wiped the tears from her eyes. "Still baffles me."

"You should be happy, Emery. There is no reason for you to cry."

"I am happy, Amy. I am very happy, and these are tears of joy." She hugged her sister, gently sobbing into her shoulder.

"I am happy we found happiness, we've been through so much together and we deserve every good thing that's coming our way. Your wedding is today and mine is next month." Amery patted her sister's back. "Our parents will be so proud of us wherever they are."
