Chapter Nineteen: Coronation Part Two Kiara, at age nine Kiara POV: I stepped back from prince Kayden and prince Jayden. They were scaring me. Why were they making those mean mommy faces? I didn't do anything wrong, nor did I make a secret stash for them to know about it. Not wanting to be rude, I apologized. "I'm sorry if I said something to offend your highnesses," I said. Prince Kayden and Prince Jayden took deep breaths, then bent down on their knees and came eye to eye with me. But instead of the mean mommy looks they had, they were smiling, not big sunshine-type smiles but small smiles; it was still better than the scary ones. "Kiki, we're sorry we scared you. You didn't do anything wrong we just remembered something." Said, prince Kayden I breathed a sigh of relief. Thank the goddess. If they were mad, I couldn't ask them about the scholarship. Taking a look at prince Jayden and prince Kayden, they both seem to be in an okay mood. I should ask them now about the warri
Chapter Twenty: Coronation Part Three Kiara, at age nine Kayden POV: It took everything in me to contain my wolf when our little mate mentioned keeping that pup back at the palace while she did her scholarship. As much as we knew it was a harmonious relationship and they were pups but fuck if the jealousy was any less. The bond between us grew by the minute for Jayden and me, and our little mate didn't even know who we were to her. She wasn't to feel the bond a few days before her eighteenth, and even then, she wouldn't know for sure. As much as Jayden and I were hyped and thought we could get through the years without any hurdles, that was proving to be difficult with every passing hour. Our little mate seemed adamant about keeping that pup close to her. The fear that maybe they would develop their friendship into something romantic had plagued mine and Jayden's minds after we had left her in her room. She was adamant about keeping him close. What was so special about him that s
Chapter Twenty-One: Coronation Part Four Kiara, at age nine Kiara POV: Auntie Meg had dressed me up in the prettiest red gown I had ever seen. She said that the queen specifically sent the dress for me as a congratulatory gift for my scholarship. The dress was long and reached the floor; it had sparkles everywhere, making me feel like a real-life Cinderella. Auntie Meg had two braids on both sides of my head and pinned them and put small white flowers in them. Rex and JJ were speechless when they saw me; even they admitted I looked like a queen, not a princess. Which was nice, but I liked being a princess; I was too small to be a queen. I reminded myself to thank the queen once the coronation was done. I had always read about coronations in our history books, but being at one was so exciting. Everything was done so pretty in the ballroom. The whole place was decorated with white and ivory flowers, crystal chandeliers and candles. It was fairytale-like as if we were in Disneyland.
Chapter Twenty-Two: Night Run Part One Kiara, at age nineKiara POV: "Honey, Queen Diana is asking you something." I heard mom say as she nudged me on my shoulder. I blushed! I didn't know the queen was talking to me. I was too busy scowling at the veggies on my plate. Unlike yesterday there wasn't a buffet, where we had a choice of foods. Today our food was brought to us at the table, and besides the array of meat, there were tons of veggies. Yuck! There were definitely bugs in them! And the bad part was that daddy and mom said I couldn't have any more cake if I didn't finish everything that was on my plate. When me, JJ and Rex were at the dessert table, Auntie Meg and Rex's mean babysitter had dragged us back, saying that our parents were calling us and that if we didn't return to our table, this instant, King Kayden and Jayden would be mad. The thought of them giving us those scary eyes that mom gave me when she was mad had me shiver, and I made JJ and Rex come back to the table
Chapter Twenty-Three: Night Run Part TwoKiara, at age nineKiara POV: The night went on as different alphas and their pack members that came along pleaded their allegiance to king Kayden and King Jayden and then bid goodbye since tomorrow everyone would be leaving to go home. Which meant my family would also be gone. As much as I was happy at the prospect that they wouldn't be here to have me eat my veggies, it didn't lessen the sadness that they would be gone and I would be living by myself for the next few years. "Helix, are you, Phoneix, and Kelix going to visit me? As much as you three annoy me, I will miss you guys." I said to my brothers The ceremony and dinner had ended. We were now heading towards the backyard where my family and JJ's family would be shifting and running with Rex's family. Rex and JJ had already gone ahead, they asked me to come along, but I said no. I wanted to spend time with my brothers. My brothers stopped in their steps, and all three bent down to my
Chapter Twenty-Four: Night Run Part Three Kiara, at age nine Kayden POV: The sparks going all over my body made my mind go haywire. Our little mate rode on my back, and my wolf and I couldn't be more ecstatic. When we heard her asking her father if she could ride on either mine or Jayden's back, our wolves howled in joy. Our little mate would rather ride on us than her father, who is considered the safest person in a pup's life at this stage. That meant our Kiara felt safe with us and trusted us. Her soul already was attaching to ours, slowly but surely; otherwise, there would be no reason for her to be this close to us. Our aura alone would've scared her and not to mention make her run far away from us, the way it made her friend Jacob. It had been hard getting through the ceremony without having our mate by our side. Hopefully, the years will pass by quickly, and we won't have to inconspicuously look in Kiara's direction at the next ceremony, which hopefully is her accession cer
Chapter Twenty-Five: Get Out! Kiara, at age nine Jayden POV: "King Jayden, I'm sorry if you thought I was ignoring you; I felt as if you were upset, so I asked King Kayden to let me ride your wolf. Your both my friends, and I always treat everyone fairly." Said my little Kiara from the top of my back. Her adorable words made my wolf, and I fell more deeply in love with her. She was perfect! There wasn't a thing I wouldn't do that she asked of me, even if I meant to watch every Disney movie out there she was obsessed with. I didn't expect someone her age and intelligence to be so fond of such a thing, but it gave her a cute edge, a hint of innocence and obliviousness to the cruel world surrounding her. I wanted her to be happy and carefree for as long as she could because her knowledge of this world would change her as she grew. We ran for about half an hour more, our family and Kiara's family finally catching up to us. I could see her father and brother's hesitation as Kiara la
Chapter Twenty-Six: Movie Time!Kiara, at age nineJayden POV: "Will you visit me?" Kiara said in a hoarse voice as she clung to her mother. Tears in her eyes as they fell on her rosy cheeks. Mine and Kayden's heart was breaking seeing our little mate so upset. Her tears hadn't stopped since breakfast was finished. It had been over thirty minutes, and she continuously hugged her parents, brothers, babysitter and Jacob, begging them to stay another day. You could see the sadness in all their eyes, but they kept a smile on their face as they hugged and placated our little mate, promising her to come back soon and call them if she needed them, and they would be here soon as possible."Of course, princess. You know we love you and would want to come to visit you every chance we get." Said her mother.Luna Clarise stroked her daughter's head, tears gathering in her eyes, as she took in her pup's scent but quickly sniffed them before our little mate could see them. Giving Kiara a tight hu
