Sometimes the deserted never travelled roads, which are in horrible condition with all kinds of pricky pebbles and thorns could also lead to a beautiful destination.

-Selene

There was a relief encompassing my heart that; dad is fine. This man seems to be a man of the word: atleast he is not a traitor.

Resting my shoulders taking the support of the seat, closing my eyes I peacefully waited for the God's will. I tried hard to escape from my fate, but now nothing seems possible, and nothing seems relevant.

"We had reached." The driver's voice brought me back to my senses.

It was a magnificent, huge mansion. I could never even dreamt about this. Stretching at a very good length. The big gate to the entrance slides open and the car raced inside, finally stopping at a point.

Is this where the marriage is going to be arranged. I stood there in front of the door for what felt like minutes.

In absolute silence with no soul to be seen, the mansion appears more formidable and the air hissing and passing around my ears warned me of unknown notes.

The screeching sound of racing tyres, cutting through the silence caught my attention. I turned back to find Bugatti La Voiture Noire, racing through the road.

The most expensive car, prior to this I had never seen it in reality but I had once seen it in series. But yes, it is a sight to watch in real.

"This luxury, this lavishness, this car and whole mansion are crafted through the labour and pains of innocent, they are acquired through illegitimate means." This thought striked my mind, making my every peculiar cell hate him, hate and despise everything related to him.

The black coloured Voiture Noire stopped right in front of me. The gate opened, my gaze was fixed witnessing even the minutest movements. As the back door opened, a man hand placed at the door appeared and then followed the leg. Before a full figure could emerge in front of my eyes he took out one leg out of the door and placed it on the ground. The horn buzzed and the headlight flashed at my eyes, making it non discernable for me to see anything. With both of my palms in front of my eyes, shielding me, I tried to block the light causing harm to my sensitive eyes.

"Get aside from the centre." A woman in his thirties came running, my attention was diverted. The girl pushed me with all force towards the corner. I lost my balance due to this sudden act of welcome, and also due to the heavy attire I was wearing I lost my balance and collapsed on the ground.

Falling on my face, I had mud and sway wet sand covering and adoring my face, hands, clothes.

"What a nice start!" I exclaimed.

Looking back, I found no one. Just an empty car and a lady standing who has just pushed me in an utmost hurry making me dash into the mud.

"What were you doing. Don't you know the rules of this place? You would have suffered very harsh punishment had I not saved you in time. No one is allowed to stand in front of the Lord's car. " She exclaimed in a troubled voice.

When she finished speaking with the line of fear clearly visible on her pale face which recited horrid stories of endless tortures. It was probably the Mafia leader whom she is talking about, the shame heartless man I am going to marry.

This was the first instance when I had a blurred vision of the danger I am stepping into.

"Now hurry up, Don't be late. Sir, would not wait. He is extremely about time. Both of us would have to suffer." Saying this she almost dragged me towards the corridor. Mud laden bride, with beautiful swampy sand glistering over all our his garments what a unique combination.

I won't blame this girl for dragging me around like a tied goat taken to be slaughtered. That's the fear! Pure horrid scenes of terror she has witnessed.

I was made to sit on a chair, the scene in front of me was very unbelievable. With a big screen in between us shrouding the view I sat on one side, and another side possibly was seated their Lord...K.T..these are the weird connotation he has been addressed with, and I don't know any other proper name even if he has one.

Am I marrying to a wolf, or a lion, or possibly a devil in human skin, or an alien, ...Don't ask me. 'I DON'T KNOW.' I don't know who is on the other side whom I am going to marry.

'Why this viel? Does their Lord looks horrible, and hence they probably fear that I will pass off watching his face, and that's the reason he is in hiding.

With mud baked face and beautiful hands immersed in swampy sand, anyhow I am also not a sight to be watched.

"Sign them..."The man who has earlier broke into my house and brought me here was gaping at me, giving me a look of utmost despise.

Probably he hated the way I was looking. Without extra put on I was atleast bearable to his eyes, but now he had already made a dozen faces of despise looking at me.

"Sign this." He mentioned again, this time with a tint of warning that this is the last time he is repeating his words.

I looked at the papers lying in front of me at the table..."Stop...first clean your hands." I was just about to pick up the papers to read when I was halted by the voice, I looked back at my hands which were really dirty and could have spoiled all the documents has he had not stopped me.

The girl arrives with a deep mouthed wide flask with water inside and a table. Keeping my hands inside it she rubbed them clean and them dried my hands through the table.

Finally getting back to the papers I picked them up to read, "Marriage Contract" Really. This is what they meant by marriage, if this is what marriage is I am happy that I would not be emotionally mattered when I would leave him after a year. For me marriage matters, but this is not a marriage it appears to me just a professional agreement which I had to comply due to the coercion.

My eyes scanned at the bottom of the page to notice the huge sign stating the other person name who had finished signing the contract.

'Tristan Jael'

Finally I got to know the name of the person I am marrying; Tristan. So that's what What T in K.T stands for. Atleast I know my husband name, even if I had never seen him.

He must have been a weird soul, who is marrying me like this, he never saw me. He is marrying me for just my surname. This is a fact hard to digest.

The moustached person standing at my head was hawking at me, I looked above to find the horrible stern face watching my acts. Without any delay, I quickly signed.

'Selene Marvel'

(Tristan, Selene the name was casted against each other on a piece of paper, little did one now for how far would they travel together beside each other in this life.)

"The gun equipped person who abdicated me, gave the lady some signals. She quickly understood and moved forward towards me.

I gazed at both of them to decipher their actions but nothing was in my control, all felt weird and hard to understand.

I was stuck into a distant environment with no links or idea how to survive.

" Let's go to your room," She signalled in a a very mild voice.

I followed what was said, travelling upstairs through silence spread all around we reached the room.

"Go inside, you will receive your dinner there. Don't try to sneak around the house, this is not the safe world to roam just follow whatever is said."

I looked at her in confusion, this is a different world to me hard to understand. The one who use to go chirping around the house lively and full of life, it was a tragedy to survive here in silence.

'A tear trailed down my cheeks as I stepped inside the dark gloomy room with no hints of light.'

How could one escape darkness when the lamp of his life is subdued by the one who must carry the streaks of light.
