Friday morning... Amelia's POV I woke up due to the sound of the alarm clock and I got up after stretching my body. I would be having all the secretary roles to myself today. Sophie had taught me the remaining things I should know yesterday as well and then, she left for Country A immediately which was yesterday evening. Maybe I can even eat together with everyone in the cafeteria! The thought of it is a little bit boring though but I want to know what goes on in the company as well. I yawned as I made my way into the bathroom and quickly had my bath. I grabbed the bathrobe and quickly put it on. My eyes wandered toward the shower and I sighed. I need to learn how to operate that thing. My eyes widened when I realized something and I quickly made my way out of the room. I walked down the hallway before stopping at that door. I took a deep breath before Knocking and after a few seconds of knocking, the door finally flung open. William is still dressed in his grey top and black
Amelia's POV I stared at the worker's ID card around my neck and I smiled. William had gotten it for me yesterday. I looked at the computer in front of me and I smiled again. I can't believe I work in a huge company now as well. An office work, at that. If Joanna hears about this, she would be beyond happy. She would almost not believe it. I should visit the trio squad to see her sometime. See how she is faring and all. A man with blonde hair walked in my front and I immediately recognized him. He is the president of this branch, Sophie had mentioned that he is quite close to William. I stood up before bowing my head in respect. He smiled at me which caused his glasses to raise a bit. "Is William in?", he asked and I was not surprised at the way he had addressed William. "Yes, Sir", I replied politely and he nodded. "Carry on", he gestured to me and I smiled before sitting down. He went into William's office and I sighed. There is one thing I don't like about this job thoug
Amelia's POV "What are you doing here anyways?", Manager asked with a sigh. "I came here to eat with you guys, I just felt like I wanted to meet the newbie too", she replied with a smile and I mentally rolled my eyes. "Right!", Director Bode shouted all of a sudden and five pairs of eyes turned to look at him, that's including mine. "We should have a welcoming party for Amelia. To welcome her fully into the company", he added and I looked at him in surprise. What is he talking about now? "That's true. Where should we go?", Bianca asked and I rolled my eyes. I have not even agreed to go to this party and this chick is already thinking of coming? Dream on! "You are not invited, Bianca", Allison and Manager Lee said at once and I could not help the smile that crept onto my lips. They did a high-five after and I chuckled silently. I think no one on this table likes Bianca. They are just, tolerating her? "It's exclusively for the people who work in the CEO's office", Director B
SATURDAY MORNING Amelia's POV I walked away from my desk to talk with Manager Lee. "Where is the restaurant we are going to this evening located?", I asked and she smiled. "It's not far from the company. Just down the road", she replied and I nodded. "Okay, thanks" "Any time", she replied and I walked out of the cubicle after having to smile at Antonio who shifted his gaze from his computer just to look at me. I went into William's office and told him about it, hoping he would just tell me how to get home. "I would ask Scott to pick you up when you are done then", he replied, not looking up from his file. "Oh okay, thank you", I replied, not wanting to argue with him about it. I walked out of his office and looked back at him. He just has his head buried deep down into that paper. ... It was closing hours in the office and I quickly told William that I would be leaving. He seemed fine when I told him that though, he even smiled at me. Weird. I can't believe he is the same
William's POV "Do you want to know the story of how I escaped from them?", she asked all of a sudden with all seriousness in her eyes and I looked at her in surprise. If I could not still smell the alcohol in her mouth, I would have doubted that she had even drunk at all with the way she is looking at me. Even though I do not understand the 'them' that she meant, I replied anyways "Yeah, tell me" She suddenly slapped me across the face and when I turned to look at her, she had a cute smile on her face. "You can just say you can't tell me!", I screamed and her face fell, like a child who had just been scolded. "I would, I said I would", Amelia whined and she looks like she want to cry right now. "Okay, okay, I am sorry. I was wrong", I pleaded and she suddenly laughed again. "Look at you", she said in her not-so-normal voice as she poked me on the cheek. "Stop it", I said calmly but she just continued anyways. I doubt if she even heard me. She has such happy eyes as she smi
William's POV I stared at Amelia as she managed to tell the story finish. We are now in the car inside the compound of the house. I sighed before getting down from the car and I picked up her bag from the backseat. I walked over to her side and helped her out. "Leave me alone!", Amelia shouted as she hit my arm continuously. "It's cold out here, we have to go in", I pleaded as I held her face in my hand. "Aish", Amelia hissed but she let me hold her hand anyways. I took her inside, more like drag dragging, and I sighed as I closed the front door. The moment I left her hand, she started running around the house as she made motorcycle sounds with her mouth. I ran towards her quickly and carried her around her waist before throwing her on my shoulder. She kept moving on my shoulder as she tried to get down back and I staggered once. I walked up the stairs quickly and she kept moving. Annoying, if you would ask me. I managed to open the door to her room and I placed her on the b
Willaim's POV I entered the brown room at the end of the hallway. Note; it is the room I had talked about Bob with Amelia. I picked up a glass cup and served myself some whiskey. I walked towards the window at the back of the room and I saw Amelia, sitting on the bench in the garden. She is not doing anything, she is just sitting there. I gulped down the wine quickly and made my way to the backyard; where the garden is. Amelia stood up immediately she saw me and looked at me intently. "I remember yesterday night", she said and I furrowed my brows. "Oh", I replied, not knowing what to say. Why did I even rush down here? I just saw Amelia sitting here and the first thought I had was to come down here, to meet her. "I am sorry for the trouble and embarrassment I caused you, please don't be mad", she said calmly and my heart softened. I never knew Amelia could apologize like this. "It's fine", I said with a smile and she smiled back softly. "I should go then, enjoy your view
William's POV I watched Amelia as she went through the report. I can't help but stare at her as she furrowed her brows and made every little reaction at the words she read in the report. Sometimes her lips would twitch. I would give that one word. Cute. I am not just noticing it but I have to say that the short brunette hair fits her perfectly. Her white porcelain skin is glowing too. Has Amelia always been so-- beautiful? Okay! Fine. I am going to admit it. You might say it is strange or too early but I think I like Amelia. A grin appeared on my face. _ONE WEEK LATER_ Oops, still on me. I pressed the button on the intercom on my desk and I smiled when I saw Amelia cutting it off and standing up from her seat. The door to my office opened in seconds as she walked in and in a minute, she was already by my desk. "You called for me", she said, looking down at me expectantly. "Yes, are you with the black card?", I asked and she sighed. "Yes" "Okay, go down to THE KITCHEN
