Chapter 119: Maniacs from Hell

Iris POV

We were in a strange place; a very dark room. I had to strain my eyes to focus on the images in the dark with the help of my wolf. Conspicuous bright red and orange eyes danced about the darkness, making me aware of Gustav and Monica's superimposing presence.

The soldiers were nowhere around. I'd have noticed them by the glow of their eyes if they were. Perhaps, Gustav had told them to man the entrance of only God knows where we were taken.

"Whoomp!" A heavy blow landed on Ludovi, meters apart from me, chained to the wall by heavy manacles. His wrists, ankles and neck were held tight in the shackles. His eyes were red, but they hung down from his face. The authority I used to see in those eyes had vanished, replaced by a blanket of fear.

Monica kicked him in the lower jaw, flinging his head backward. The back of is head his a concrete surface behind him, and I heard it split.
