Chapter 10: As One Door Closes, Another One Opens

The disappointment was the only thing that etched Mr. Robert’s face after figuring out I lied to him all this time. Realizing the nerves between the boss and me, the worker who caused the conflict quickly pulled away from the location.

“You’re hiding something from me” Mr. Robert raised his voice.

My mouth shut the moment he shouted at me so does my shoulders lifted.

“I-I…” I stuttered but before I could explain, Mr. Robert cuts me off.

“I don’t need your explanation! It is my fault that I trust you. Now get your stuff out of my property, I don’t want to see you here again, not even your shadow” He declared.

“But, sir” I tried to explain.

“You’re going to regret having shit to do with the Atwood! I want nothing to do with them, now please leave” He demanded.

My feet were still on the ground and I didn’t move, not even a centimeter at the time because I was still shocked that I got fired on my first day. Mr. Roberts can’t stand with me anymore, his hatred toward the Atwood bloodline
