Back in my hotel room, Rem kept his distance from me, his arms folded across his chest. It wasn’t surprising that he was being more aware of the bond between us and trying to keep himself from falling head-first back into wanting to continue where we left off last time. He had used the time between visits to think more on things, perhaps even ask questions to the other Hunters or tried to look up information about the bond between us.
