Chapter 2
Sansa's Pov
"Stop talking! You should be ashamed of saying that human's name, Bit**," he yelled fiercely.
"Why? Are you envious of that person?" When she didn't appear to be terrified of him, she teased with a grin on her face.
He grabbed her hair when the anguish was over, and she was in a lot of discomfort. "He is a worthless human being." He raged, "How dare you think about him when humans are our enemies?"
"No, he is not an enemy, he has no desire for war, he is----" He cut her in the middle of her sentence as she was straining to talk in pain.
"How long would it take to introduce me to him? How long are you going to make yourself a fool? He is Falkor's son, a brutal bloodthirsty hunter who is trying to track us down," he said, yanking her hair to make her feel more pain.
Did he just mention Falkor, the bloodthirsty hunter? How did he become aware of my grandfather? I had no idea my grandfather was a hunter who used to hunt werewolves; I assumed he was just a sheriff.
"He keeps tracking us with his friends, he destroyed our families before, he will do that again," he continued, tugging her hair to make her suffer even more misery.
The pregnant woman could do nothing except breath heavily to keep her child safe in her belly.
"He is not like his father; he has no hatred for our kind," she tried to explain, but he was uninterested in listening.
"How could you forget all of our sacrifices? our kind, our families, we lost loved ones suffered because of them, How could you forget ----" he said when she cut him in the middle.
"How long are you going to keep fighting? You would get nothing but loss if you hated," she added.
"Humans annihilated our species, and you are eager to do the same. No matter what you say to keep him alive, he will not be alive after today," he declared.
"Don't you dare---" she said, but when she fell to the ground, he smacked her hard. Her scarlet cheek was the color of a tomato, and blood had fallen on her lip, while his smack had wounded her bottom lip.
He pinned both hands above her head and leaned closer to her face as she was about to sit, but he got on top of her when she was struggling, staring at her with her lusty eyes as if he was about to eat her alive.
"I don't care if you love him, but you will accept me by the time," he claimed arrogantly.
"Never," she snarled.
His Tongue tasted the blood drops on her lower lip as he leaned closer to her lips. She averted her gaze, unable to move or do anything to protect the child.
"Don't be shy, baby. I won't hurt you if you accept me like a good girl, obey me silently," he murmured seductively.
"I am carrying a child within me, you are demanding that I leave the father of the child. You should be ashamed," she said without hesitation, her eyes filled with hatred.
"Look who's talking, you chose a human over your true mate, you chose the enemy," he replied, his rage suppressed.
"You are my enemy," she declared boldly.
"What have I not done for you? Look at me. I made many sacrifices simply to be with you; I tried everything to get you, but you! You never cared, you only care about that filthy human, they are masterminds, they have been killing our people for decades now, even if you choose another from our kind, I would not mind," he stated angrily as he stared into her eyes.
She was still pinned while he was on her top; she didn't move, but she didn't stop trying to get away from his grasp.
"Liar, You don't care about anyone but yourself, you're selfish, you want my body, that's all you want, you chased me down simply to quench your thirst, you're hungry," she said, while he silently listening and trying hard to control his emotions.
"Even if you get my body but not my soul, you will never get me completely because my body and soul belong to Raven Elsher," she asserted boldly.
Her remarks astounded me when she stated that the child she was carrying was my father's; how could that be since he died 8 years ago? How did she have a child from a deceased man?
When her life was on the line, she spoke my father's name without hesitation.
Alpha put one hand on her neck while she was out of breath and struggled to remove his hand from her neck while he already pinned the other hand.
"I told you not to say his name in front of me. You never listen to me, and you expect me not to teach you a lesson," he raged.
"I am warning you, leave me alone or he will kill you," she warned him, trusting my father, who was just a human at the time when they were all-powerful, savage werewolves.Everyone burst out laughing as if she joked.
"What exactly did you say? Say it again," he teased, laughing heartily.
"Your death is approaching," she declared confidently.
"Have you all heard what she said?" he questioned his troops as they all laughed together when her faith in my father grew deeper.
"He will come to get me," she predicted firmly.
What was that crazy woman saying?
How would my deceased father come to her aid? I was nevertheless intrigued by the woman's charisma as she spoke illogically. What made her so certain of a dead man's reappearance? Was she insane? Or was it some sort of mystery?
When she was out of breath and struggling to remove his hand away from her, cruel Alpha tightened his grip on her neck.
"Let him come, I'll show him that you're mine," he claimed arrogantly.
"I will die before becoming yours," she stated boldly, and her words inflamed him.
"Then I will get rid of both of them, the child and the father, and you will have no one but me in your life," he murmured seductively as he leaned in for a kiss.
She spat in his face out of rage when I couldn't find fear in her, but only rage for the monster who tried to destroy her family.
He was laughing uncontrollably, and she was attempting to break free, but his hold tightened.
"You will never get whatever you want. I will kill myself happily but won't be yours at any cost," she said flatly, not even afraid to speak back to the cruelest Alpha.
"What makes that jerk so unique? I'm an alpha, and you're rejecting your mate to be with that dirty weakling, he----" When she cut him in the middle of his speech, he was constantly spitting venom.
"Stop talking! You have no right to speak about him in that way," she retorted.
Chapter 72 The figure emerged from the shadows, acquiring shape gradually in the soft moonlight. I breathed a sigh of relief as the mysterious presence solidified. It was Levine, his face solemn and sad. My stress dissipated when I recognized him. I couldn't help but smile. "You know Xavier married Marina," I said Levine, a smile on my lips. His response was regretful, and his voice was heavy with disappointment. "Are you truly content?" Levine queried, his face betraying his anguish."Of course," I said firmly, my excitement obvious. "Finally, he has Marina by his side, the one he loves, and—"Levine spoke before I could finish, his words cutting through my excitement. "You should not be happy about it. Xavier didn't marry Marina to get away from you. He did it to keep you close, to keep you close to him forever.""What exactly do you mean?" I inquired, my perplexity growing.Levine disclosed a shocking reality to me.
Chapter 71 The voice of the Unknown Pack Leader trembled as he said what we were all thinking. "How on earth is this even possible?"As he met eyes with the Unknown Pack Leader, Levine's expression was a mix of rage and perplexity. "What are you doing here?"As we all watched the unimaginable unfold in front of us, the crowd began to murmur in a mixture of fascination and shock."I never send my guests away empty-handed, and I always offer them with enough amusement to remember for a lifetime," said Xavier with a sly grin to the Unknown Pack Leader.Members of the unknown group began brandishing their firearms and knives, bracing themselves for a fight.Levine, still stunned, turned to Xavier for answers. "What on earth is going on, Xavier?""I invited them here," said Xavier quietly. "They've come to pay the price for causing you pain."Levine's attention switched to me, his eyes inquisitive. It was a confusin
Chapter 70 As he continued to treat my wound, Xavier's fingers moved gently. "However, it is sometimes at these unexpected moments that we discover something wonderful."My cheeks flushed, and I averted my gaze, trying to disguise my emotions. "You're a philosopher, aren't you?"He leaned in closer, his words low and heartfelt. "Only when I'm with someone who changes my perspective on the world."When our gazes locked, the world around us seemed to fade away. The unpleasantness of the circumstance had evolved into a common understanding. He was different from the Xavier I knew in the present; he was kind, and he treated me properly although Xavier never treated me well in the present, not once.Xavier's words poured over me like a calm ocean wind, drawing me closer with each word. His eyes, as deep and tempting as the great sea, enslaved me. Frozen in a moment, the world around us seemed to melt away."Perhaps you're he
Chapter 69 Xavier made a quick and smooth approach. He approached my side with almost unreal slowness, every fraction of a second stretching into an eternity amid battle. His strong and soothing hand wrapped around my waist, drawing me in with an intimacy that sent thrills down my spine. Our bodies squeezed and merged. I could feel his heartbeat, a steady, repetitive beating that reverberated deep within me.My hair swirled through the air as he clutched me close. He quickly shielded me from harm's way after sensing the threat behind me that I had missed. A whispered promise of protection among the chaos. My eyes widened as I saw a horrific sight in front of us: a demon from the gigantic demon army, its body covered in the awful color of fresh blood. Its razor-sharp teeth and a crimson-stained sword made me tremble.I realized something in that heart-stopping moment. Xavier had guarded me from this terrifying peril, a brave deed hidden from view. He had put his own life in danger to
Chapter 68 Xavier, the calm voice amid the turmoil, interrupted. "Gentlemen, we must find a solution to close these mistrust and resentment gaps."Anthony, evidently irritated, fired back at Falkor. "Despite spending years hiding in the shadows, you appear remarkably self-assured, Falkor."Falkor, unfazed by Anthony's insults, reacted with a smug grin. "But, my darling vampire, the shadows frequently hold the most valuable secrets."The chamber became tenser with each exchange, weighted with hostility and the weight of history. Xavier's patience remained steadfast, a credit to his leadership. "Enough of this, you two. We are up against a shared foe who threatens us all. Isn't it time to set aside old grudges for the greater good?"Anthony's rage, a boiling tempest within, found expression in a final, cutting sentence. "I'm eager to work with anyone who sees that the past belongs in the past."Michael's voice trembled with real e
Chapter 67 My gaze stayed riveted on a heartbreaking scene amidst the upheaval and confusion that engulfed the battlefield. As three merciless Demons closed in on him, Xavier, the strong Alpha, confronted his imminent destiny with a courageous attitude. The Oak pack members and Vampires who surrounded us echoed my sense of helplessness, their features carved with dread in the face of an unbeatable foe.A revolver sat dormant in my grasp, its promise for deliverance thwarted by my hesitation. Though my heart desired to change the path of history, changing the past and the future, the intricate web of fate held me hostage. A bitter regret passed through me: if circumstances had permitted, I could have stood as Logan's beloved, free of Xavier's claim. If Xavier died here, he wouldn't be present to claim me, and the pronouncement of wonder law that united us would stay unformed. His death would not result in Levine's death, saving him from a gruesom
