ZANNICUS: Terence lunged at me in a flurry of movement but I had anticipated his attack and merely side stepped and watched as he stumbled and skidded to a stop. Just as he turned, I grabbed his arm and flipped him over my shoulder, dry leaves riding along with the movement and fluttered down my head. The harsh impact elicited a pained yell. He grabbed his shoulder as I circled him, "GET UP!!" I growled loudly. He flinched but immediately got to his feet. He lunged again; both arms extended- which was a mistake. Before his hands could grab me, I extended my right hand again, shot inbetween his open arms and grabbed his neck. He choked as I lifted him up in the air then slammed him down on the ground. Terence whined as his chest released hacking coughs. ______ Those who bare witness to the fight winced and hissed as if they were the ones who was hurt. Zannicus deliberately allowed his opponent to recover and stand up. There was a look that flashed through the Omega's eyes but it
"Hello Zannicus." Startled, I turned to see a man clad in dark clothes standing in the middle of the living room. Grateful that my grip didn't loosen, I gently set the vase I was cleaning down and clasped my hands as I slowly approached the man. He seemed to be at least 18 or 19 years old. 'He wasn't there before. How come I didn't sense him?' He's tall; maybe an inch or so than Alpha, strong jawline, perfect nose, green eyes and his red hair styled into a quiff. "H-hello Sir. May I ask who you are?" I can't help but make myself as tiny as possible before him because he reminded me of Alpha but he surprised me by crouching down to my level. "No need to be afraid little one. I bear you no harm. How are you?' "I'm fine Sir. Can I ask how it is you came to know my name?" He smiled, "I just do." I don't know why, but I felt oddly comfortable around him. "What's your name Sir?" I grinned and he moved to speak but then a familiar voice echoed thunderously throughout the room making
RONAN: After a long but productive day of intense training, we trudged our way back home. The men were improving very quickly now, much to our see delight. My friends were busy chatting while I was busy watching my mate sway his hips. I bit my lip, 'Good Goddess. I could feel my eyes darken at the sight of that bubble butt. I want to-' "....-ere Ronan?" "Huh?" I snapped out of my thoughts and turned to Gabe who was walking beside me. His gaze flickered over to my mate then back at me followed by a wide knowing grin. "Soooo. Is the reward gonna be loud?" I humiliated myself by tripping at that comment and those near us bursted out into chuckles. "Wh-what-...!" I huffed, "I d-don't know what yo-you're talking about." Their chuckles turned to laughter. I rolled my eyes and quickened my pace but Gabe caught up, "No. What I was inquiring about was Alpha Ryder returning today right?" I stiffened at that and shook my head, "Yeah. But I still haven't heard from my father." "Really?"
RONAN: What's this? Why can't I hear anything? Why can't I move? Why is my vision blurred? I felt breathless for some reason. What's happening? The sound of a shrill shatter jolted me out of my shocked state and I turned to see a broken plate on the floor. I found Zannicus frozen and face as pale as a statue. "Co-come again?" Nic said with a shaky breath while walking towards the patrol wolf. "A few minutes ago, we heard a faint howl of despair from the distance and when we went to the direction where the howl came from, there was a thick, black smoke rising from the east, as high as the sky. There's only one pack 60 miles from ours." The man looked devastated, "Moonstone pack. We howled for almost an hour to see if anyone's alive or in need of any assistance but-....no one answered. You can-...smell the-.....burning carcass-...from a distance." He trailed off as I took a sharp intake of breath but before I could speak, I was cut off by my mate shoving past me and out the door
I smiled wistfully at the memory, sighing as I hugged my knees to my chest. I was currently sitting up on my bed. It's been two days since that-.....day. Ronan woke up an hour before me, staring then kissed my tears away. My chest burned at the sorrow consuming me. No remains. Not one was found. After the ceremony, the moment I was in the safety of my room did I break down again and again. Ronan left a couple of minutes ago to grab us something to eat. I glanced at the window, sun shining brightly but not one soul in our pack feels really cheerful as of this moment. It was as my gaze drifted off to a random portrait did I realized something, "His parents!!" I smacked myself and sat up. I was so busy drowning in grief that I neglected Ronan's feelings. Now I knew why he looked more....blank. His movements were slow, almost mechanical. 'As soon as he comes back, I'll hug the wolf out of him!' A knock brought me out of my thoughts followed by a scent I knew. Nic's head peeked in th
NIC: We worked out way to get all the bodies down as carefully as we could due to how fragile they all were. No one spoke, mostly out of shock. Stacy's body shocked the most, 'When did she die? What happened? And why the h*ll is she wearing a short sparkly dress?' I felt a tiniest bit of sympathy for her. I mean, she may be a b*tch but she doesn't deserve this. She was a good girl before she turned into who she was. Her mother abused her; physically, mentally, but the most disgusting act she had committed was preventing Stacy from shifting into her wolf. This lasted for five years. Alpha was absolutely furious once this news reached him. Surprisingly, it was Ronan who informed his father after seeing bruises on Stacy's neck one time at school. I guess that's why Stacy fell in love with him because he saved her. She's changed so much. But now, I sighed, staring down at her, seeing her like this; lifeless, mutilated, is far too much. Zannie was the one who closed her eyes while I pr
UNKNOWN: "They just found the bodies now?" The figure inquired incredulously. "Yes Alpha. They're slower than we thought." The man clasped his hands in thought then smiled, "Well, then let's use it to our advantage. What about the she-wolf Lan?" The Alpha narrowed his eyes. "We lost her." Lan bowed his head. Lan's Alpha growled and huffed, "Fine. Let her go and tell them. I can only imagine his surprise." He laughed with unfiltered delight. Lan frowned curiously, "May I ask why?" The man turned and raised his brow at the wolf, "Why what?" "Why do you do this to him? Do you have history with him?" "You don't need to know." The man snapped making Lan jump and mumble an apology. "Now go and do what you have to do and don't disappoint me like the others." The Alpha made shooing gestures. "Yes-" Lan bowed, "-Father." With that, he walked away, out the doors and pulled his phone out to call him. They answered at the second ring, "Hey. Their schedule is lame. Especially the patro
I can't believe I almost forgot that Zannicus can't show his wolf just yet and I panicked there for a second but Zannie did some quick thinking. Much to our relief. Both of us are now standing- well, I'm standing - while Zannie was pacing infront of me as we waited for some news. I wonder what they found. It's been 10 minutes since they left so they should be on their way back by now. "Zannicus, will you please calm down and stay still? You're making me dizzy and I'm not even the one pacing." "I'm sorry Nic. It's just-.... it's quiet." He frowned as he looked at the forest. "Quiet?" He nodded, "Yeah, around the forest. And in the mind link. No one is answering me." I tried to mind link Gabe but no answer. I tried Isaac, nothing. Not even Francis or Seth which was a bit alarming. We waited for a few more tense minutes before I clicked my tongue and moved to see for myself what exactly was taking them so long. However, rustling from behind us caused us to whirl around into our fi
