Minus Claudia and crew, everyone else was at the Pizza Shack by the time that I got there. Heads turned when the door chimed as I walked in. Matt and his two boys were seated with Jason and Brandon, the other members of the team were scattered about at various tables doing what they do best, eat, drink, and gossip. Sometimes, it seemed like they were worse than girls.

“Ethan.”

“Matt.”

Neither of our greetings was cordial to the other. I sat down beside Jason who was on the opposite side of the table from Matt.

“How’s it going?” Matt was staring right at me.

“Good.” I knew what he wanted to hear, but I really didn’t want to discuss the matter with him. This was a whole turn of events for me now, Morgan was more than just the challenge, she was… well, she was actually my first girlfriend.

“Spill, Lowery, I don’t have time to sit around and chit-chat with you ladies.
