Chapter 14

I stood in a large garden. My feet rested on the ground which resembled a cloud of sky, soft and white. As far as the eye could see I did not find a single person passing by or a building. There is only a pool of water that gives off the scent of vanilla.

A little girl suddenly grabbed my arm. I haven't neutralized everything yet, so I followed where she ran. The child is only about my thigh height, maybe she is about 5 years old with golden brown hair. She laughed every time the reeds she was holding were carried up into the air, before she handed it over to me.

"Mom, hurry up."

Did I hear wrong? Why did she call me Mom? Strangely, my lips could not be moved. I could not ask and finally chose to stop running. Now she straightens her head to amaze me because her green eyes are so pretty. I've seen her exact eyes before.

"Dad is waiting, Mom. If we don't hurry, he'll leave us."
