It was a Saturday morning and Diane was feeling particularly lazy. She woke up very late, around ten in the morning, took her precious time in taking her bath before going downstairs to get her breakfast. As she walked down the stairs, she saw her husband, Nicholas sitting by the table, eating. He raised his head, their gazes met and they both looked away immediately. For some days now, neither Nicholas or Diane had been talking to each other. Diane was still mad at Nicholas for calling her a cheat and Nicholas was mad that she ditched him for Jayden, and then, lied to him. Neither of them really spoke to each other except in monosyllables and in really frosty and icy tone. It wasn't like they didn't miss each other. In fact, on the contrary, they both missed each other so much. They practically ached for each other. But they were both too proud too admit it. So, Diane walked to the table, motioning to one of the servants to bring her food. She refused to look at Nicholas, not wanti
It was her first act of rebellion and Natasha wasn't sure how she felt. She had walked out of the house against Diane's wish, she had lashed out at both Diane and Nicholas and well, now she didn't know what to do. She was going out with her friends Alyssa and Paul. Paul wasn't just a friend, he was the love of her life.... At least that was what she felt. She had been in love with him since he came to their school. He was so dashingly handsome and so nice and sweet. Natasha couldn't help falling head over heels for him. Unfortunately for her, he simply saw her as a friend and nothing more. He was extremely nice and sweet to her of course, but only because he thought of her as his best friend. She was his closest friend and they told each other everything but he was always to oblivious to the fact that Natasha was in love with him. Always. Alyssa always thought that Natasha's reluctance to tell Paul of her feelings were just stupid. She even went as far as telling Natasha that Paul was
Sunday evening and Mark and Grace were at Nicholas' house, ready to pick up their daughter, Olivia. They had arrived in the afternoon around two o'clock and Diane has insisted that they stayed for lunch. She had instructed the kitchen staff to prepare food for visitors and Mark and Grace were glad to stay. They sat at the table, Mark and Grace beside each other and across Diane and Nicholas who were at the other side of the table. Olivia sat beside Diane, insisting that she didn't want to sit with anybody else. As they ate, they chatted and laughed. "Diane, thank you very much for looking after Livy," Grace said with a grateful smile. "Oh, pfft, it's nothing," Diane answered in a jovial tone. She liked Grace. Grace was kind and warm and just lovely. "It was really lovely to have her here," She said, glancing down at Olivia with a loving look on her face. "She's a special kid.""Yeah, she is, isn't she," Mark concurred as he looked at his daughter with pride. "But still, we love tha
Jenny opened the door to Derek's house and walked in with Ashley behind her. While she sat down, Ashley remained standing, looking around with wide house. "Wow," she said. "This house is big and beautiful. I had no idea Jayden's father had so much money.""Of course, he does. He has quite a number of businesses," jenny told her. What she didn't tell her was that one of those businesses was a gang; a gang that she – Jenny was a part of. "Wow. So, why does Jayden leave in that.... Small apartment?" Ashley asked."I don't know, Ash. Sit down. Do you want a drink?" Jenny asked, rising to her feet and walking to the bar. "Yes please," Ash answered as she lowered herself to one of the couches, still looking around. "I can see why you are sleeping with his father, though," Ashley said. "This place looks like he is really wealthy."Jenny smirked. She knew that Ashley would say that. "Of course, he is wealthy," She said as she poured alcohol into two separate glasses. "But that's not why, tr
Natasha was more than excited to skip school and follow Diane to pick up Malvika from the airport. After the incident at the movies with Paul and his new girlfriend, it was becoming increasingly difficult for Natasha to enjoy school. Every time she walked into the school, the first thing she saw was Paul and his girlfriend sucking each other's faces of. It annoyed her and saddened her. So, when Diane asked her to accompany her to the airport, she didn't hesitate to agree. As soon as they got to the airport, they saw Malvika standing in a secluded area. Diane and Natasha climbed out of the car and waved her over. As they moved closer to Malvika, Diane couldn't help but notice that something was wrong with her. Her eyes were dull, there were bags under them, her skin was looked dry and wrinkled. Diane's eyes wandered downwards. And is that.... A baby bump? "Hey," Malvika said. Even her voice sounded off. "Malvika!" Natasha shrieked, throwing herself into Malvika who quickly grabbed h
Towards the afternoon, Malvika had asked to borrow Diane's car. Diane, obviously had questions she needed answer to but Malvika kept saying she would answer these questions later and Diane had no choice but to lend her the car. Malvika left the house in Diane's car. She drove to her secluded place where she was sure no one would see her. Then, she parked the car. She grabbed her phone, unlocked it, scrolled through her contact list and came to a stop at Jenny's name and dialed the number. She waited for a while, the phone ringing until Jenny picked up. "Hello, Jenny." "Malvika," Jenny's smug voice filled the phone. "Isn't it just wonderful to hear from you today?" she asked. "I'm sure it is. Look, I need to see you," Malvika replied, without beating around the bush. "When can I see you?" "Well, you see, I have a very busy schedule , my dear Malvika. So, no, I can't see you now. If you can wait for me to check my schedule, then, I'll see what I can do." "Jenny," Malvika let out a f
Malvika walked into Nicholas's house in determination, her fingers tight around the strap of her bag. As she walked in, she saw Diane and Nicholas sitting on the couch cuddling. Immediately she walked in, the both of them raised their heads to stare at her. "Malvika!" Nicholas exclaimed. "You are back," he said. She forced a smile at him. "Hey, Nick," she said politely. "Yeah, I'm back... for now though.""Yeah, yeah. It's good to see you. How are you doing?""Fine." Malvika turned to Diane. "Hey, can I see you for a minute? It's kind of urgent," she said. From the corner of her eyes, she could see his gaze wandering to her belly, then, to her face, then her belly again. She could see him pursing his lips, probably trying to figure out if he was seeing right. "Sure," Diane answered. She turned to Nicholas, whispered to him and kissed his lips. Then, she rose to her feet. "Let's go," she said. The both of them headed for and climbed the stairs. As they walked, Malvika asked, "Where
Diane and Nicholas stayed in bed, their arms around each other with a cover over them. They were awake but silent. Only the sounds of their breathing could be heard. Diane moved her hands slowly and softly around Nicholas' chest, feeling his chest heave up and down as he breathed. Then, she whispered, "Nick?""Yeah?" he answered"Can I ask a question?" she asked. "Sure babe," he replied. "What would you do if I said I was pregnant?" she asked, an hesitating note in her voice. At the question, Nicholas abruptly sat up, careful enough to not let go of Diane. He reached out to the lamp beside him and switched it on. He glanced down at Diane's anxious face. "Are you pregnant?" he asked. His heart was thumping loudly with fear and excitement. "No, no," she hurriedly answered. "I'm not pregnant. But what would you do?""I think I would be happy about it," He said softly. "Oh." Diane grew silent for a while. She was thinking about the best way to drop the news. Then, she blurted out, "M
