Diane groaned in frustration as her phone rang the fifth time. The phone had been ringing and she had refused to pick. Did the person calling not get the memo that she didn’t want to pick or talk to anyone? Angrily, she picked the phone and answered the call. “Who is this?” She snapped.

“Diane, this is Logan,” the person replied.

“Oh! I’m so sorry, Logan, I had no idea it was you.”

“That’s okay,” Logan said reassuringly. “Actually, I called to inform you that preparations for your father’s burial has been completed.”

“Oh my God!” Diane gasped. “Thanks, Logan. I’ve been so caught up with different things lately that I forgot to ask about that.”

“It’s okay. All that remains for us is to pick a date. Does the twenty second of next month sound okay to you?”

“Yeah, that’s good.”
