THIRTY

The night was peaceful. The sound of the beach waves was soothing and calming. The moon shone on the earth and the stars twinkled in the sky. A wave of breeze passed through from time to time. The atmosphere was peaceful and quiet and the only sound that could be heard was the calming sounds of the moving beach.

Diane and Nicholas laid under the dark sky, their hands intertwined together. The laid on the sand, still and quiet, both enjoying the peaceful moment.

Diane stared at the dark sky with twinkling stars. The sight of the sky and star, the peaceful sound of the beach and the smoothness of the sands beneath her, made her sigh.

They both laid in silence with Nicholas giving Diane’s hand a comforting squeeze from time to time
