Diane pushed open the door to her office. As she stepped inside, she was taken aback by the figure of a man in her seat, his back turned to her. Her first instinct was to scream but instead, she cautiously stepped forward to ask, “Who are the you?”
The man turned around in the chair slowly and Jayden’s face came into view. He beamed at her. “Oh, here you are! I was beginning to think that you didn’t come to work.”
Diane sighed in relief, as she turned to close the door. “Jayden, you scared me!” She said, walking over to her desk and dumping the files I’m her hand on the table. “Get up from my seat.”
“Nah,” Jayden refused, relaxing back into the chair. “It’s too comfortable.”
Diane rolled her eyes and slumped into the couch adjacent the desk. “You’ve really grown comfortable around here,”
Jayden tightened his fist on the wheel, his jaws clenched together and his eyes squinted as he stared at the restaurant he was parked in front of. The veins in his neck throbbed as he thought of Nicholas' presence in Diane’s office. He remembered ho badly his hand shook and how he ached to throw, at least, one punch on his face.He still couldn’t get over the fact that Diane would be choosing Nicholas over him. He had always thought that Diane and Nicholas never liked each other and that if he played his cards right, Diane could be his. But they went on that fucking road trip and come back closer than ever, goddamn it! He slammed his fist on the on the car board and groaned out loud.Jayden pursed his lips thoughtfully as he stared at the restaurant. Inside that restaurant, Malvika and Jenny were waiting for him. All he had to do was climb out and walk into it; meet them and start plotting the end of Diane and Nicholas’ rel
Diane unbuckled her seat belt as Nicholas parked the car properly. Nicholas glanced at her with a smile. “Ready?” He asked.Diane gave a curt nod. “Yeah, let’s just get this over with.” She opened the door and climbed out of the car. Nicholas did the same. They both shut the door and locked it.“Let’s go.” He held Diane’s hands and intertwined their fingers together. Diane blushed at the contact but said nothing. As they walked, Diane stared around her. She could see some people in clusters talking together. There were some men with cameras. She could see the tripod stands, ring lights and other photography equipment.“This is where you are shooting the movie?” She asked Nicholas as they walked.“Yeah. For today,” he replied. They walked in silence, both enjoying holding on to each other, until Nicholas
Jayden slipped his hands into his pocket to control his excitement as he watched Diane walking towards him. His eyes drowned in the shape and curves of her body that were enhances by the skirt and blouse she watch. As she approached him, he leaned away from his car to her. “Hey,” he says softly, reaching out to hug her.Diane slowly puts her hands around him, letting him hug her for a while before backing away.Looking into her eyes, Jayden couldn’t help but observe that her eyes were dim and puffy. He immediately knew what was wrong but felt obliged to ask anyway. With his arms still around her body, he asked, “Hey, what’s wrong?”Diane shook her head, avoiding his gaze. “Nothing,” she croaked. “I’m….I’m…I’m….fine.” she said.Jayden raised his hand to brush a strand of hair away from her face. “A
“Hey,” Malvika greeted, looking up from her phone as Diane walked into the house. “Where did you go?” She asked.“Took a walk with Jayden,” Diane replied, sitting on the chair and kicking off her shoes. She let out a deep sigh as she relaxed into the couch. “What did you do today?”“Nothing,” Malvika replied, shrugging. “Natasha and I went to the mall, no big deal. So, you went out with Jayden. Did you two talk about me?” She asked hopefully.Diane stared at her for a while. “Not exactly but yeah, kind of. He said you are just taking things slow for now.”“Yeah, about that. He did say something about how he isn’t ready to be in a relationship. And I thought, why can’t we just go on a few dates and I’ll try to make him fall in love with me.”“Hold up,” Dian
Nicholas rolled off Diane, sweat trailing all over his naked body. As he slipped into the covers beside Diane, he felt heady. He slipped his hands under Diane’s back and drew her towards himself, letting out a deep sigh as she snuggled closer to him and placed her head on his chest. He slowly some strands of her hair with his fingers. After a moment of silence, he asked, “I thought you wanted me to leave.”Diane smacked his bare chest. “Shut up,” she mumbled. His chest growled with laughter as he tightened his hands around her waist.Diane closed her eyes, breathing softly. She was almost drifting to sleep but she managed to mumble, “Where is Ashley?”“Kind of kills the mood, you know, you asking about Ashley,” Nicholas teased.“Hmm.”“Go to sleep,” Nicholas sai
The night was peaceful. The sound of the beach waves was soothing and calming. The moon shone on the earth and the stars twinkled in the sky. A wave of breeze passed through from time to time. The atmosphere was peaceful and quiet and the only sound that could be heard was the calming sounds of the moving beach.Diane and Nicholas laid under the dark sky, their hands intertwined together. The laid on the sand, still and quiet, both enjoying the peaceful moment.Diane stared at the dark sky with twinkling stars. The sight of the sky and star, the peaceful sound of the beach and the smoothness of the sands beneath her, made her sigh. They both laid in silence with Nicholas giving Diane’s hand a comforting squeeze from time to time“How did you feel when your father died?” Nicholas asked, breaking the silence.Diane sucked a deep breath, the thought of her dead father causing an indescribable
Malvika looked up as the door slowly creaked open. She watched as Jenny walked into the house. Glancing at the time, she saw that it was around seven in the morning. She remembered that Jenny went out on a date with Jayden the previous evening. Fixing the puzzles together, she concluded that Jenny had slept in Jayden’s house. She watched as Jenny walked towards the stairs, then, paused and turned.“Hello, Malvika,” Jenny greeted, her lips stretched out in a taunting smile. “I didn’t see you there.”Malvika clenched her jaw. “Where are you coming from?” she asked, gritting her teeth.Jenny shrugged. “A date. Why? Is anything wrong?”“You slept with Jayden, didn’t you?” Malvika spat out angrily. Her eyes bulged out of her socket and her face was becoming red. Her breathing was turning into pants as she stared at Jenny’s
Jenny stared as Malvika kissed Jayden on his lips. She stood still for a while, trying to compose her thoughts. She watched as Malvika held on to Jayden sucking his lips like her life depended on it. She noted that Jayden didn’t do anything. His hands were just helplessly by his side. Malvika finally let go of him and turned to meet Jenny. “Oh, hello there, Jenny. I didn’t hear you coming in.” Jenny smirked. “Oh, I think you did,” she said. She walked towards Jayden and placed her hands on his chest. “Hey,” she said softly. “Oh…Kay,” Jayden quickly pulled away, forcing Jenny to drop her hands. “While this has been fun, I think we should focus on what we came here for,” he said, moving to sit down. Malvika gave Jenny a smug smirk and slowly lowered herself to her seat across Jayden. Jenny chuckled. She moved closer to Malvika, leaned down and whispered, “You kissed him. I had sex with him. Spot the difference.” Then, she straightened hers
