Jessica’s POV

I could barely see the road ahead. My vision was blurred, not because of the rain, but because of the endless tears streaming from my eyes. They mixed with the pouring heavens, as if even the sky was mourning with me.

“HUHUHU…”

I didn’t know how I managed to get out of George’s condo. I felt like a robot with no direction. My whole body trembled. Heavy. As if a boulder was pressing on my chest. The words I had heard kept replaying in my head, like a broken record that refused to stop.

“I know… once Jessica finds out that we’re siblings, she’ll be hurt. Even more when she learns that the reason I left, the reason I pretended not to remember anything, is because I discovered the truth about the two of us…”

I fell to my knees on the grass. I didn’t even know where I had wandered. Everything around me blurred. Moving shadows, eyes staring, some with pity, some with curiosity, some with fear. But I didn’t care.
