WU
My eyes were swollen, and my vision hazed with the tears that threatened to fall.
My gaze fixed on the photograph i held in my hands, this was black and white and the ends were already moist from the tears that had soaked the paper.
"Sometimes i wish you were here. With me" I sobbed, shaking my head before turning away from the photo.
The photo of both my dad and mum in her wedding dress, the only photo i had of both of them.
I turned look at my snoring grandmother who laid so peaceful with her eyes closed.
It was as if every direction i turned was just pain, each moment, i felt
AALIYAH"You were the last person she came in contact with that night" She started with a glint of suspicion in her eyes."And from the content of the text messages you exchanged, you didn't seem too happy about Jeff?" She said, laying emphasis on that night. "You said and I quote, you lying son of bitch" She said again. "I didn't do it, I swear" I interrupted. "I hope you die soon and I get to do it" She said and then I broke."Why shouldn't that be considered as a motive for murder?" She said."I.." I stam
JACQUELINE"I can't be here again, you don't understand, I'm innocent" I yelled as they pushed me into the poorly four cornered room with the only thing fixed, her gaze. She ruffled through some papers before adjusting her glasses to get a good glare at me, it was adms if she patiently waited."So what's your story?" She asked, terribly frustrated on sighting me.It's like she was tired of the corners of this case that she wanted it to close so badly but bye grin her partner gave as i walked in, he seemed the opposite. He was intrigued, almost excited."Actually, we want to know less about you and-" He paused."And more of Wu and her involvement in the murder, there's no covering up" He said with a sheepish grin.
MARIAWhere were you last night?" She asked a simple question as my hands quivered on the other side of the table."Maria Esteban Ramos" The investigator fluently called out.In a frail attempt not to make eye contact, she stood before walking over to me."Which of them?" She asked."It was none of them" I replied."None of my girls are capable of murder" I said, mostly to convince myself."Then maybe you are" She replied as she crossed her legs."You all had lots of enemies, probably even amongst yourselves" She said, lowly."She jumped, didn't she?" I lied, wiping my tears."I don't know what you heard, but she was murdered" She walked back to her seat.
WUAddiction, a habit or practice that damages, jeopardizes or shortens one's life but when ceased causes trauma.Addiction, no matter how fancy one describes it, it damages. It is the fact that you do something, you know hurts you.But just keep doing it, because of something temporary, something you feel.~Wu is a softie.Beneath those thick yards of woman material that craved drugs was just a really just a messed up piece of shit. Her own words. And those tomboyish impulsive behaviors was just to show the world a whole new picture, a picture of someone you shouldn't mess with. But after Ruby's death, there was this side that we had seldomly seen-the broken side. And the self blaming and torturing side-The side that reminded her, she got so much to loose-What she didn't know, she believed could hurt her or
AALIYAH47The instant the song that displayed on the monitor of my laptop changed, there was a message that popped up by the corner-an email. The notification chirped in my headphone, bringing my attention to the message.Miami Medical Teaching HospitalThe header was boldly printed, then followed by the word, acceptance-I sighed one of relief as i navigated my cursor around before clicking on the notification.A precise, short letter marked by the words-Residential Program, Accept, Start, Pay-My eyes scribbled for the important words as a smile crept it's way to my lips.I knew i could really use a win with everything that had been going on."Are you smiling at your computer?" Mother teased, her arms around the
DIANE48THE NIGHT OF THE MURDERWu: Can we talk? At the bar down the block-I paced across the pavement, my gaze fixed upon the text as i sighted the door that led into the bar, with a glittering sign at its top.It didn't take long to sight her by the counter, taking a shot as quickly as possible. The bar had a few people in it, at the same time not to noisy but the bell at door gives away anyone walking in.She turned around before dropping her glass."You know you're not supposed to be at the ba-""Give me a break" She interrupted, obviously drunk as she pulled out a sit beside her."What are you going to have?" She asked as i shook my head."Wu, you're drunk" I said softly to her.
MARIA49We all came here to be something, most of us didn't sit and plan and tell our parents-"Oh, i wanna be a stripper when i grow up"Because the truth is no one wanted to be a stripper. At least not amongst us-~Flowers everywhere, a bunch of sad faces, the lingering eerie of death...and a moment of silence for the deceased. We stood at the front row, not a word to be uttered nor a movement to be made.Just our attention, our moist eyes through which we grieved. To everyone, she was different. To some, she was a stranger, a friend, a relative but to us, she was more. She was family.I said I'll tell you all about it-
vamp (plural vamps)NounA flirtatious, seductive woman, especially one who uses sexual desire to exploit men. [ca. 1915]~A certain group of strippers are forced to reunite under tragic circumstances. When one of them is found murdered in her home, the five of them come together to form an ally, their aim, to bring the killer to justice. But somewhere along the line, they find their lives entangled each in a bigger mess. With Wu going down for the murder of Ruby, Kaleo Smith, the rest question their trust in each other while Aaliyah faces her battle-Having been held hostage and away from her family and medications, Aaliyah must come together with Diane to forge a plan to escape.Or will there be another death?Perhaps a dep
