Scarlet’s eyes snapped open to the sound of gentle lapping water, the salty tang of the sea on the breeze. Her body ached in strange, unfamiliar ways, every nerve alive with tension. She blinked, adjusting to the soft light, the grass and sand beneath her, and the serene pond stretching toward the horizon. Relief flared briefly, until she realized she wasn’t alone.

Something wet and slick pressed against her thighs. Horror shot through her as she realized Cyd’s head was there, glinting scales brushing her skin. She jerked violently, hands scrambling to push him back, but his tail..coiled and unyielding..held her fast, winding around her waist, her hips, her arms, immobilizing her completely.

“Cyd… stop! Get away from me!” Scarlet shrieked, panic lacing her voice. She kicked, twisted, but his grip tightened, every movement impossible.

Cyd’s voice hissed, low and teasing, close to her ear. “Oh… little human, awake at last. Did you really think you could just… run from this?”
