CHAPTER TWELVE.

I stood with my hands tucked in my pocket, by the window. The day had dawned bright and clear. Sipping lazily on my cup of tea which had been served minutes ago by a maid, I appreciated the beauty of nature.

My pack had always been a beautiful one. Covered with beautiful trees and their lush leaves hanging from branches made it a more spectacular sight. It was surrounded by high mountains, from all ends. And that morning, a low mist covered their tops creating a beautiful sight.

A knock came at the door right at that moment. Without turning, I ushered the person in. "Come in."

The door pushed open, and Raffaele walked in, dressed in formal grey attire. "Alpha, the members of the council are waiting in the hall." He bowed and clasped his hands behind his back.

"I'll be there shortly," I said with a nod. He bowed again and turned to leave.

"And Alpha, permit me to report something." His hand was on the door sill when he halted.
